I was an alcoholic for 30 years. I didn't like being an alcoholic so I tried quitting hundreds of times with no success.
I tried Jesus 5 years ago. I have never had a thirst for alcohol since that day I gave my life to Jesus. I know He is real.

No. But a pretty cool thing happened recently. I rearranged the living room which caused me to have need of a floor lamp.
Yesterday my neighbor threw away a floor lamp. Butt ugly but it'll serve for the meantime.
Were I not an atheist I might attribute that to some mystical power. But since I am, I call it serendipity!

I attribute every breath I take to the power of God :) Without my creator I would not Be. So anything that happens to me is thanks to my Father.
But if I were to pinpoint something, I would say the move from my realizing that I have been carrying a false image of who I was around with me (shy unworthy sinner) to who I really am (a Son/Sun of God, fully worthy of his love) is the most life changing event so far !

God works miracles every day. Prayers are answered every day.
Those who know God, know he doesn't crack the sky open and appear and talk to you in some ultimate voice. But he may suddenly pour the sun out of a cloud and form a rainbow for you to let you know He's heard your prayer.
A butterfly may suddenly land on your shoulder then flutter away.
You just have to know that God speaks in many different ways. When you realize that you will have signs everywhere around you every day and know what to do.
Faith is merely believing that God will get you through another day, and He will.
You may think you know your path, but something life altering will happen to change it. That is God working in his mysterious ways. Even from bad things, good things come. God doesn't make the bad things happen, but he finds ways to make good things come from them.
The only thing that heals the hurts of this world is LOVE.
God's love lives in EACH of us. We have the power to heal the world if we really want to. That is God, and that is the power He holds. We would not be here today if God was not alive and well and winning the battle.
I think God will come soon, because no one cares about the destruction we are doing to our planet...and at this rate, in 50 years there may not even be enough resources to sustain human life on this planet...and all the signs of the end (from Revelations) have already begun.
I can't see the leaders of our planet forfeiting gold, oil, their corporations folding etc. to protect our planet can you?
So really think of it....in the end we will be doomed, and that end isn't that far off...so hey, whatever force it is that talks to me, I believe it's God, is what is real to me.
I thing God intended us to gather in church to be a community--there is power in people gathered to celebrate God, you can just feel it. You feel it at weddings, at funerals, at Christmas....so don't deny that!
That is the power you want proof of but its around you always--you just need to look for it.

yes but the change didnt come from a higher power, the change brought me closer to god and before it happened i knew there was a higher power or god i just didnt follow his word and didnt love him, it was a life threatening event that somehow grapped me by the shoulders and woke me up, it made me wonder what would have happened if i died and had to explain to god why i didnt love him or follow his teachings

Yes I have, otherwise, I would not be doing what I am doing now.
The service my Father asked of me, I knew I could not do, I did not have the resources, the knowledge. Plus I was afraid and I didn't want to do it. And He said "You doubt I can give you all that you need?" and I said "No Father, You are all I need." At first I even doubted this conversation was real. Now all I have done, I have done for Him and it is real. All my strength, courage and purpose come from Our Father.

My life changed in a big way and since this happened when I asked Jesus to be my friend I am pretty sure He had something to do with it.
