Think about it. Virtually everything was in common

...he practiced Judaism. (common)

But he was rejected by all the other Jews. (common)

He kept the feasts and High Holy Days (common)

However, he put the heart and G-d's will ahead of the Sabbath or other Laws. (common)

Jews saw Him as a rebel and a threat to their religion (common)

He believed in Jesus, Father and Spirit (common)

He did not celebrate pagan holidays (common)

He offered salvation to both Jews and Gentiles (common)

He was spirit filled (common)

So why don't more Christians see that and come to Messianic?

Just curious....

Blessings for 2007

I know that some people think that Ted Haggard's problems were because Satan tempted him. But wouldn't he have to be gay already in order to be tempted by man-tail?

By Guru or Master I mean one who knows God, or one who is Self-realized, God-realized, fully enlightened or illumined, one who has realized their oneness with our common and One God/Spirit/Truth, etc. One's I'm pretty sure were/are true Gurus/Masters and/or Avatars of past include: Jesus, Buddha, Mohammad, Moses, Patanjali, Rama, Krishna, Paramahansa Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, Ramana Maharishi, Paramahansa Yogananda (and his paramgurus), etc. I'm sure there are many more that I'm aware of and those I'm not aware of. But I'm really interested in those that are considered (by a few, or even better, by many) to be true Gurus/Masters and are alive in the body today?

And 2nd question I ask sincerely and respectfully: why do you feel or think the one(s) you mentioned is/are true or real? Is it one or more of the following for example: faith, feeling, reason/logic, evidence (firsthand or secondhand, like observation or miraculous stories told by others), experience, etc.? Thanks!

Do you consider a woman wearing jeans a sin? What about a man wearing a skirt? I know that it says somewhere in the Bible (not sure where---sorry) that a woman should wear a woman's garment and vice versa. However I also know that men in Scottland wear kilts. I know that a kilt is not considered a skirt, but an apple by any other name is still an apple. Is this allowed because of culture? And if so, then is it not culturally acceptable in America for women to wear jeans? Just looking for your opinions on this.

I have been praying to God about helping me with one thing for years. Recently I have started to pray everyday, but God has still not helped me.

Why?

My family is Baptist and don't believe in drinking at all. I like to drink a little wine now and then. I don't see a problem with it since I don't drink to get drunk and it hasn't become an addiction. What do you think? Can it lead to more drinking?

Don't underestimate restlessness, human boredom makes people do crazy things and with the emerging sight and sound generation, we can never be as passive as before. I'm sure people will say, "if I'm not bored following the Bible then no one else should be either," but I don't think any two people are ever the same.

If any of you believers have actually done research rather than simply believing, then you would know that the fossil record and stratagraphy show that all living things have been shown to have died out at predictable periods in evolution. I could explain the whole thing, but it would take a while so look into it if you don't know what I mean. My point is that the fossil record, stratagrapy, and dating methods prove evolution and disprove the Great Flood. How do you explain this?
