Maybe because you can't see that He is trying His best to help you. Remember that God helps those that help themselve.
Lemme tell you a small story to help you a bit, OK?
There was this guy who wanted God to save him and he got caught in a flash flood where he climbed up on the roof of his house and went down on his knees and prayed to God to save hem.
No sooner had he finished his prayer than a boat came by with some others they'd rescued and they asked him to climb in. He refused saying that he expected God to save him.
A few moments later, a helicopter hove to and the water had already risen to his waist by then and they sent him the ladder and told him to climb up. And he refused saying he expected God to save him.
And then the water washed him away and he died.
When he got to see God, he asked why He hadn't saved him and God replied "You refused the boat and helicopter that I sent you. How could you expect me to save you, then?"
I hope that you won't make the same mistake.
All the best!!!!!

Maybe God has a better plan. Maybe He said No.Maybe he feels your not ready .
I really didn't care for the church Ward In my church we are assigned by where we live.
I was assigned in this church for over 9 years I prayed every day the ward boundaries would change That God would put me in another ward . I couldn't afford to move just to have my records changed.
When I thought My prayers had been answered back 3 years ago they were changing the ward boundaries whoo hoo I was so happy. My ward church just wasn't a good fit for me or my family.
I still believed my religion I did not want to change that.
Would you believe My house fell in the same church area.I just bawled my eyes out. I had thought my problem was solved.
Then this year happened and my life went Topsy turvey and My Manufactured Home park was sold to a big developer who was building big homes All the homess had to be moved!
Well God had answered my prayer he gave me a new wonderful church. It Just is going to cost me a bundle 18,000 to move my house to get it. So just realize God does things in his own time and be careful what you pray for God might give it to you when you least expect it or need it.
Ask yourself these questions
What am I doing so God can bless my life
Am I doing all I can
Am I atteneding church paying tithing actively being apart of a church.
Is its a material thing that I could really live without.Like a car
a boyfriend girlfriend Maybe God has someone better in store
When you pray Do you humble yourself ? Are you in right frame of mind . Do you wait for God to answer ? Or just get up quick like before you get a feeling. .
You should be feeling one of two things when you pray either warm and happy inside.Means the answer is Yes .Or it will be a stupor of thought all confused feeling so the answer is No not right now.
Hope this helps You Diane

I prayed for years for God to do something for me he said no. I tryed to make deals and everything else you can think of in return for one thing. It never happened. Turned out years down the road if God had give me what I wonted at the time I really would have messed up a good life. Have you ever heard the saying thank God for unanswered prayers?

I do believe that God exists. And I do believe that God reveals Himself to many in various ways even to this day!!!! And I do believe that God hears your prayers for He is aware of everyone and everything always!!!!! But if you believe that by definition God is Perfect and Absolute Goodness, then you would trust His answer however He answers or doesn't answer; being perfect He knows best. What you might be praying for may not be according to His perfect Will, His plan for His Creation!!!! It's better to pray "God, let thy will be done!"; I think even Jesus prayed that or something close to it. Another suggestion is to pray for God's guidance, or "God, what is thy will?"; this way, you will get what's best for you, rather than something that if he does answer (which He may as a lesson for you) be something that's not truly good for you or in your true, best interest. I believe God being Perfect by definition, His Will and Guidance must also be Perfect, meaning for the Highest Good to All, Highest Good for All, including you.

God loves you sooooooooooo much. He wants to have your faith that He can do what you've asked. Praying is great. HAve you prayed and asked Him into your life and be YOUR Savior? If you haven't and you really want to and you're absolutely serious and trust that He WILL save you if you ask. Pray this prayer...
Jesus, God, Precious Father, I love you soooooooo much and I know you love me. I admit to being a sinner, and I am truly so sorry. I believe that you died for my sins so that I can live an eternal life with You and be a witness for you in this world. God I love you and you are soooooo awesome. Come into my life. Cleanse me, save ME from my sin, make me new and clean and righteous in your eyes. I know you can and you will and I praise you for that. Amen. If you just prayed that prayer then God just saved you and YOU are a new person. I thank God for that. Continue to pray. And know that I will be prayng for you as well. Also know, that that prayer, it isn't the words that save you, it's the meaning and the true feeling in your heart that saved you. I hope that everyone who reads this and doesn't know God will pray this prayer. He loves you soooo MUCH.

I have a problem that I,ve been praying about too, and it seems like I'm not getting an answer either. It's been many years also. But I know that He is answering other prayers so I haven't given up. Just keep praying, beleiving that you will receive. The answer may not come in the way we are hoping, but it will come.

Do you believe in your heart that God is real? This could be one reason. Also, some people have waited for years for prayers to be answered. Some things are just that way. Sometimes people get their prayers answered right away. Just depends on what it is and if it is God's will for you to have whatever it is you are praying for or about.

Why don't you try asking God to give you what you need. We can't always know the reasons behind our prayers being answered or not. Having experienced a great deal of pain and adversity in my life I used to be so angry with God asking why me? Now I understand what I went through gave me a different insight and wisdom to do the work that I have recently just begun. Now I say why not me. I know that life can be terrible at times but remember there is always hope.

God always answers prayers. They might not be answered the way you want them to be, but they are always answered. He might tell you yes, He might tell you no, or He might tell you that now is not the best time, and that you need to wait a while. If you pray for God's will to be done, you will be the best off because God always knows what we need, we only know what we want.

Now many will say God answers us in special ways, some of Gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers, God is a myth, ext. ext. My answer is different.
First of all God is real; however he lets us do for ourselves. God does nothing for us. You can pray and pray all you want, you are just waisting time. I also pray, but my prayers are praising God and telling him/her how my day went (I know God already knows, however I just like talking to God).
The truth is if God answers any prayer then he would empose on his own commandment upon himself: "freewill"
