Will God be mad? Yep He sure will
You see, the Islamic Religion throws Jesus's stance out the window.
How could Allah begot a son, for if Allah begot a son I would be the first to worship Him.(straight from the Quran)
Jesus is nothing but a prophet and holds no other value than that
Read and decide
do not let anyone talk you into this
this is a personal decision for you to make on your own
Good Luck to you
If you choose Islam, I'm sorry for you
May God Guide you through this time

I'm also 14 and i'm not sure whether you are too young, but then again i dont think there's any age for being wise or foolish..if you feel its the right thing to do, then do it...if you can get a copy of the Qur'an's translation, read through it...you can google for some sites, i dont know any.....
First of all, God wont be mad....the basic difference btn islam and christianity is that christians worship Jesus while muslims regard him as just one of the Holy Prophets. Most important you should first follow the 5 pillars of Islam :
Shahadah > Believe in one God, Allah and that Muhammad (SAWS) was His Messenger.
Salah > Praying five times a day, i.e,before break of dawn, in the afternoon, in the evening before sunset,at dusk and in the night..
Zakah > giving charity to the poor and needy, regardless of their religion etc.
Sawm > Fasting in the month of Ramadan abstaining from food, drink, lying and all other sins from dawn till dusk....
Hajj > performing the major pilgrimage to Makkah atleast once in a lifetime if one has the means to do so..
He should also follow the Six pillars of faith i.e :
Belief in : Allah
His Angels
His Books
His Messengers
The Last Day
Fate
Being a lady u'll have to cover your whole body from head to toe other than your face(the face veil is an option not necessity) and hands....you can wear anything loose and neat ,(including jeans, skirts etc.)as long as it covers your body and not necessarily the burkha....Muslims are forbidden from consuming alcohol as well as flesh of pigs, dead animals(i mean those which were killed by other animals etc. and not slaughtered)....
About going to Hell, no one can tell, only God can....I'm not sure how to tell ur mom, but u could just tell her the reason for doing so and i'm sure she'd accept it and still love you for who you are....someone had once suggested that you could first change your habits and behaviour(without telling your parents that you'd converted) and when they notice the changes you cud tell 'em..Since, i'm muslim, i feel that you are not making a mistake at all and i'm happy for you, but i'd rather you first understand the religion and then convert ..........Best of Luck..

1. Allah and God are one and the same...think of Allah as the "Father"
2. Tell your Mom in due time when the time is right. Let her know that your faith has changed but not your love for her.
3. You can practice Islam anywhere. Maybe you could go to the local Mosque for prayer so you can declare your intentions and learn to pray too :)
4. Until you learn to pray just have God in your heart; that is most important.
5. Clothing; try to be more modest (no shorts or tanks). You can either stay that way or be even more modest by wearing loose clothing, skirts and a scarf to cover your hair.
6. To become Muslim you say "there is no god but Allah and Muhamad is the messenger of Allah (God)."
7. By becoming Muslim this secures you a spot in heaven. Anyone who believes in the one true God (Allah) and tries to be good will be rewarded.
What has urged you to seek out Islam? I am sure Allah is pleased that you are coming to Him. Maybe you could research Rumi and Sufi Islam (a certain sect that focuses on peace and love). Here are some websites to help you sweety. Remember, you are never too young to seek out the truth. You will have double reward in the next life. Good luck and Allah bless!

Wow, you sound really confused. Let me start by asking you what is the purpose of you having or changing your religion? Is it because its what your parents or someone else wants you to do? Or are you scared of going to Hell? Or do you really want to have a relationship with God? This is life's fundamental question; Why do I do what I do? When you can answer that by saying "because it's what I believe is right", then you have begun walking in the right direction.
For the record, I'm a Christian, and the God that I serve will only accept you if you are seeking Him. Calling yourself a Christian because all of your family or friends do, will not fly with Him. He sees through all of that. He's looking for people that want to serve Him, and enjoy spending time with Him. And no, he is not the same God that Muslims worship. The Christian God says you can only come to Him through Jesus. The Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet, not the Son of God. They claim to have the same roots as Christians, but around 600 AD Mohammed claimed that he had the true revelation of God and started the Muslim faith.
My advice to you would be to get some time alone and pray. And ask God to tell you the truth. Read your Bible, so you can recognize God's voice. He doesn't contradict His Word. This won't happen overnight - its going to take some time before you recognize how God talks to you, but one day you'll look back and see how far God has brought you.
I'm so glad that you realize the importance of a relationship with God at such an early age.
God bless you and be with you in all that you do.

You are the religion that you believe in. It seems to me that you do not know enough about muslimism to convert to the religion. Study BOTH religions for a few YEARS and then decide where you fall in your beliefs. Do NOT do it because "it is cool." No you are not too young, you are just too unknowledgable. Don't go to a website, they can be misleading. Study the Koran and the Bible then make up your mind. If you have true beliefs, telling the ones you love about the "true" God or the right religion will not be a problem. You also might convert them.

Honey ,u r only 14 years old . U have probably not read nor Bible nor Quran to can understand both of it . U want probably to please ur muslim boyfriend and thats why u r so desperate. Most of the western wemen who convert to islam ,converted for this reason .Dont do it sweety . Dont reject Gods salvation for a false religion . Islam might look good to u at the first sight but it is bad inside .,becouse they reject the only salvation of God that is Jesus Christ . They will tell u that recognize Jesus as a profet but they dont recognize him as the only Saviour . This is exactly what devil want from us . To reject Jesus as saviour ,he dont want anything more from us becouse then he can have our souls.Dont let urself beeing fooled by how wondefull is islam presented in the sites they offered u becouse is all deception.Read the Bible sweety ,ask help from a priest but dont take this step im begging u . Its the worse thing u can do for ur soul . To sell it to the devil.

Greetings!
First and foremost, you must know what Islam really means. Literally it means submission. In the purest sense of the word, it means submission to The ONE True Eternal God The Creator and when I say ONE, I mean really just ONE, not 3 in 1 like trinitarian Christians believe.
As Islam is the third and last Abrahamic religion, it's only logical that Christians, Jews, and Muslims originally worship the same God - The God of Abraham. God The Father of Christianity, the Jehovah or Yahweh of Judaism and Allah of Islam is actually the same God - the ONE God. Want some proofs? Check out the Arabic Bible here:
http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Sources/Allah/BibAllah.html
Regarding the status of Jesus (peace be upon him):
Muslims believe that God is ONE and only ONE, and that Jesus (peace be upon him) is the Messiah and a messenger of God, but not the son of God.
Trinitarian Christians believe that God is one but three - a triune god - God The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, and that Jesus (peace be upon him) is the Messiah and the son of God.
Jews then believe that God is One, and that Jesus (peace be upon him) is not the Messiah or the son of God.
Now, look carefully. Which one of these 3 claims make more sense to you? Pray to The ONE God to assist you in your affairs, God-willing you'll be able to see the truth.
And here's 3 excellent credible and authoritative websites on Islam:
www.understanding-islam.com
www.harunyahya.com
http://www.islamtomorrow.com/
Ps. http://www.islamtomorrow.com/ is an official website of Yusuf Estes, a former Christian priest and now a Muslim.
And you can easily determine the time of prayer by downloading the Athan (azan - call to prayer) software 3.0 from:
http://www.islamicfinder.org/athanDownload.php
click on the "download athan basic" to download it for free.
God knows best.
I pray that He would simplify your affairs for you my friend. Feel free to e-mail me for any enquiries.
Peace and Love
=)

After being raised a nominally religious Christian as a kid I took to Judaism at your age. I remained fully engaged with Judaism until recently when I came back to Christ. I encourage you to pray, read your Bible, talk to respected community Christians and your pastor before you make a move.
Becoming Muslim means rejecting the faith that has so wonderfully and deeply affected this country and civilization. It means rejecting a good God who gave a free gift of grace. It means rejecting a God who sent his only Son just to atone for your sins. It's such moving stuff!
Islam is not perfect, either. Islam is having a real identity crisis between regressives and moderates and I'm afraid the moderates are losing. That means taking up a faith that many, including myself, view to be very anti-female. What you wear and the domestic position you, as a girl, inherit is not dignified. But I don't want to knock on other religions to prove Christianity's case.
If you're not happy where you are find a different church or even a different denomination. Seek and you truly will find the Truth in Christ. Pray and study. Read CS Lewis' beautiful apologetic "Mere Christianity" (you can find it at libraries and just about everywhere). The Truth will set you free, the Good News proclaims. I came back to Christ because the Truth has set me free. I pray you will soon realize the the gift of Christ's sacrifice at Calvary.

Stay home a few days from school. During an episode of Matlock, a Jehova's Witness will be standing at your door. She is a Hispanic woman mid 40's carrying some literature, let her in and drink the Kool-Aid!

You're never too young to explore religion and faith. Just keep an open mind...but not so open your brain falls out.
However, some of the responses here would try to discourage you...particularly the ones telling you God will be mad at you if you consider "leaving" or "rejecting" him.
Is God's ego so incredibly fragile that he's somehow threatened by a 14 year-old asking questions? If so, then he's not really worth woshipping.

Firstly, I would recommend talking to someone is person about this. You should find the closest Islamic centre in you area, and go there and I guarantee you any nice Sister will help you out.
To be Muslim you simply have to state, "There is no deity worthy of worship except for God and the Muhammad is the last and final messenger"
You have to say it in Arabic
"La illaha illallah, Muhammadur-rasul-allah"
When you first do this, you have to do it infront of at least two witnesses. This is what your conversion is, i guess it is equivalent to baptism.
http://www.islamicfinder.org/ (Very good site, has an very good explanation on how to pray)
We believe that associating partners with God is the worst sin, so if you start praying to the Prophet Jesus then you have commited the worst sin, by associating partners with God.
You should also read the Qu'ran,
http://transliteration.org/quran/WebSite_CD/MixNoble/Fram2E.htm
This site has the english meaning of the Qu'ran as well as how to pronounce it in Arabic using english letters.
Again, the best thing to do for you, if you are serious, is to go to your local Islamic Centre and talk to a Muslim sister and she will help you out.
Peace Be With You
