What does the ordeal of Phineas Gage tell us about human behavior? The soul? Accountability? I'm curious as to what you really think about what this shows about human nature. What if someone has a brain imbalance for some other reason? What is a "balanced" brain anyway? If Phineas Gage had been BORN with this brain problem, should he go to hell for his actions? What if every sinner has a similar problem? Help me out here.

If you don't know who he is:

Disclaimer: I'm atheist. I'm not trying to slam anyone's beliefs or ancestry. Please don't read anything into the question that isn't actually stated (if possible). Don't bother giving me ANY atheist line, I already know it. This is for xians.

Why do you go around trying to disprove people's religions? Some believ in a God, you guys don't. Big deal. You don't have to go around making fun of religious people [as seen in many examples in this section], calling them 'brainwashed' and wha tnot. It's not like they're actually gonna go "You know what, you're right. There is no God." There's about as much a chance of that as a religious person converting one of you by typing in CAPSLOCK through the computer. Just let it go. When we all die someday, we'll all find out the truth one way or another....

Jacob received the birthright from Isaac by lying. And ever since then the older has served the younger just like the Bible said. I think this means that they will continue to fight until Jesus comes again no matter what peace plan they try to make. The Bible describes the relationship between the nations in Gen. and prophesies that one would always live by the sword and be nomadic. I think that describes the situation quite well. What do you think?

I've been a christian since i can remember, i believe in the one supreme being...but i also believe in fundamental laws. With that said is it possible that god can not destroy satan? My primitive thinking keeps me from accepting an existence without evil, an existence that is all good because without evil how would u know what good is? To make things worse i keep hearing stories in church about Satan, the Beast, and all other incarnations being bounded, locked away....never destroyed.

christians will understand that it is not necessary for god to have created anything

with a little research and a lot of time, if i was so inclined, even i could explain how matter was formed and it wouldn't involve any supernatural, imaginary being

Can you think of a more convenient, easier, flat out cop-out answer than that? Nothing points out to some guy up there in the sky yet so many people have made up their mind already......
I'll be honest and say we don't know the answer to that question........yet. But we will .. just as we found out that Earth wasn't flat all along, just as we actually were able to go on the moon....

The world is only less than a 10000 years old?????OY

I have spent the majority of my life studying and practising the scientific method. I grew up in a Christian home (Reformed Church in America), but I fell away from my faith when I was in college. I really do want to be a "Christian," and have an intimate relationship with "God," but how can I make God fit with my scientific philosophies? If something is unexplainable through science, it is unacceptable to simply submit an irrational (read, not-provable) explanation. Yet, that is exactly what Christians say God is, an unprovable explanation to all things unexplained. A little advice, please?

This is a serious question. Please, no "flame" posts.

All my life I have been raised in a Christian family. I "think" I got saved about a year ago in a revival at my church. I've tried to live right and read the Bible and pray and have faith. But it seems like I can't feel God. I feel about the same as I did before I got saved only a little different. I feel so emty inside and I don't know what to do. I see other people at my church getting blessings and I just sit there and feel nothing. I don't want to admit that I may have backslide but I feel like I have. I don't have the desire to read my Bible or pray anymore. I want to be saved but I don't feel like it. Please help! Any advice or suggestions would really be appreciated!

Answerer said: Excuse me? Before islam became a religion?

Hey Islam was the chosen path by GOD ever since man was sent on this earth.
We believe Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus Christ (peace Be Upon Them All) were all 'Muslims' means 'They submitted their will to GOD'
