There is a very valuable underlying message in Manson's lyrics, one that theists have no shot at understanding. The message is this: The religion-pushers and god-adorers have lied to us all, as they lie to themselves. They want to enslave you and destroy this world. Make the most of your life, because death is the end. Don't let anyone tell you that you're a sinner. The individual is the only god.
A cross between Alice Cooper and David Bowie? Sure. That doesn't mean he isn't a hell of a showman with something to say.

The author of the Satanic Bible actually gave the title of Satanic Priest to Marylin Manson. He won't be a god or anything, although he is quite popular in current music.
He speaks from his personal experiences of his bad childhood. I give respect to him for that exactly.
