Mary was a virgin when she conceived. The Holy Spirit came upon her. At the time of conception Joseph and Mary weren't already married, but Mary had been pledged to Joseph (Matthew 1:18). This shows Joseph's real charater as Mary being pregnant out of wedlock would have brought great disgrace to her and her family in those days. Joseph, however, was determined to take care of things quietly. It is then her learnt from the angel that Mary's pregnancy was Spirit - conceived.

I think that each of us at times question ourselves and our faith. I feel that in belonging to a Church family there is great strength. We are afterall the body of Christ. And as a body functions best with all its parts, so too can we draw strength and reassurance from belonging. I have found that when my faith is weak, then those within my Church family can lend me some of their strength to keep me.

I truly believe that God did not mean for us to do it alone. That's why there is a community; Jesus did not do it alone. He had his disciples along the journey with him.

Mary miraculously conceived through the power of the holy spirit. Joseph was her husband at the time and this is not a fabrication. The Catholic church is a false one and you are right to leave.

God is great.

Why do catholics say the Blessed Virgin Mary? That is proof they pray to her.

There is no proof that Mary ever talked to God. The Catholics would want us to believe that Mary was a Catholic and Jesus was a Catholic as well. However, they were Jews.

With love in Christ.

God can do anything.

After the Blessed Virgin Mary said, "Yes!" the Holy Spirit came upon her and she miraculously conceived. See Luke chapter 1: http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/luke/luke1.htm

With love in Christ.

You just need to decide weather the Bible is true or not then either accept or reject what it says. I'm sure you will decide what suits you. There seems to be no simple fact? My eight year old gets it...lol

Actually, without trying to be rude or sarcastic, the answer is pretty easy. It was God. There was nothing humanly done with it.
