In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Gods, deities and other such entities survive not on worship, but on belief. As long as you believe Satan exists, you are keeping him alive. The same goes for Yahweh. Stop believing in them, and they'll just end up like Zeus and Hades, or Odin and Loki. Once so great that emperors would sacrifice a whole army to appease them, now nothing more than mythology.

The majority of People today are worshipping Satan without even realising it, because Satan the wicked one has blinded their eyes,(2Corinthians4:4) and stolen their allegiance to God, just like he has done to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden.
There is no need for more than one religion, after all there is only one true God! The main reason why there are so many religions in this world is because Satan wants to get the worship for himself, which he is getting through False religion! If he doesn't get you with one then he will with another! and it is what makes people think that the religion matters not because there are many roads to God, yet is that what the Bible says? Jesus Christ did not teach that all roads lead to the same place of salvation or to God or that all religions are simply roads leading to salvation as some today have said. In his sermon on the Mount, Jesus said:"Go in through the narrow Gate;because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.(Matthew7:13,14) Because they fail to worship God in the right way, most persons are on the road to destruction. Only a few are on the road leading to life. So there are only two roads one going to destruction and the other is the one leading to life.

I have no idea how many 'coz I don't worship Satan. Why would I worship someone who is afraid of God in the first place?

If you're talking about the Satan in the Bible, not even Satanists do.

I'm a Pagan, so some Christians (who don't know any better anyway) probably say I do.

Anyway, I don't.

In one sense, many. You do know where Satanism derived from don't you? Christianity, only the Christians believe in Satan. So in a way, only they (Christians) believe in him, so they keep him alive, they worship him!

I don't think Bush is smart enough to worship Satan.

I'm only a Satanist. I don't worship, bow, or beg before any being, real or imaginary.

Better question: Why would anyone worship an entity who has already been conquered, is awaiting eternal destruction and hates your guts?
