If the typical KKK member is protestant, why do they burn crosses? Wouldn't that be dishonoring their own religion?

Many non-Muslims have come to incorrectly believe that Allah is the ‘God of Muslims’ – A deity somehow different from the God of the other faiths. It should be emphasized that the term “Allah” has no implied meaning at all of an Arabian god, a Moon god or even a Muslim god. Muslims are not claiming any exclusiveness when they say "Allah". However Allah is simply the Arabic Name of the one Almighty God; the same name by which Arabic-speaking Jews and Christians, refer to God. The Allah comes from the term ‘al-ilaah’. Al is the definite article in Arabic, equivalent to ‘the’ in English, while ilaah means ‘a deity or god’. So Allah means The God. This is beautifully articulated in the first pillar of Islam which is to believe that God is One, in Arabic it would be, "La ilaha illallah" meaning "There is no god but God"

...question in the R&S section of Y!A, has at least one (sometimes up to 3) answers that say "no, cause God don't exist". we get the point, and your not helping any people that way, besides, they are looking for legitimate answers to their questions. why don't you just stop!
And don't answer with "Cause God don't exist".

I often use cannabis is my practices. I am a Lokean, follower of the norse god Loki, and find the state of mind induced lends itself well to mischievious thought, especially as it leaves you too zoned out to do any of the really naughtier ideas Loki may you. I will do a combo of fasting, and then smoking or eating some special cake, and invoke loki, and write. Does any do anything similar? Or is pot still really frowned upon amongst Pagans? Every book I read is pretty much "drugs are bad, m-kay"

and stop being silly pricks.....Atheists have no one to respect. Christians do.....So stop being so immature and keep your opinions to yourselves........CHristianity is about love and tolerance isn't it?? God would be ashamed to see that his believers desperately keep trying to change someone else's mind....I think he'd be ashamed and be like,,,"eww, I'd rather her not be a "christian" ..I'm embarassed."

If there was even a reasonable amount of the slightest proof of hell, it would be enough for most people to be good. Since it is utterly ridiculous (based on scientific evidence, no offense intended) to believe in hell, it has to be portrayed as a scary scary place, with eternal fire and gnashing of teeth, etc. Otherwise, no one would give it a second thought because it would be a ridiculous idea to them. As it stands, it is a ridiculous idea, but the fact that christians portray hell as such a scary and terrible place causes people to become religious in self defense, which is not a good reason to be religious at all. Especially since a truly omnipotent god would see through the bs.

Your thoughts...?

Each person is born in a religious environment that is not of his/her own choice. From the very beginning of human existence in this world, they are assigned the religion of their family or the ideology of the state. By the time individuals reach their teens they usually accept the beliefs of their parents or that of their particular society. However, when some people mature and are exposed to other beliefs and ideologies, they begin to question the validity of their own beliefs. Seekers of truth often reach a point of confusion upon realizing that believers of every religion, sect, ideology and philosophy all claim to have the one and only correct religion or ideology.

There are only three possibilities. They are either all correct; all wrong or only one is correct and the rest are wrong. They cannot all be right since all religions are different from each other in their fundamentals. Furthermore, the majority claim that they alone are correct and the rest are wrong. On the other hand, to claim that they are all wrong is to deny that God revealed His will to humankind. This proposition is absurd to those who believe in a Wise Creator. So, which religion is the right one and how can the seeker of truth know it?

In beginning one’s search for which religion is true, one should keep in mind four things in mind: First, God gave us abilities and intellects to make the crucial decision: WHAT IS THE TRUE RELIGION? Second, God, the Most Compassionate, did not leave us to go astray without any guidance. Indeed, He sent us prophets with scriptures to show us the right path. Third, seeking the true religion should be the most important thing in one’s life because the everlasting life to come depends on it.1 Fourth, one can determine the true path and make a rational and correct decision only if emotions and prejudices, which often blind one to reality, are put aside.
