Yes, I believe that a pouring out of the Holy Spirit causes it. We should pray for one in Iraq. There are a few Christians there. Wouldn't it be great to see some terrorist spouting love and not hate.

Revivals are many consecutive days, and as few as 7 or as many as 30 or more, studying the word of God with your church family, which can take place in your church house or under a tent our under the trees outside somewhere.

At a revival you can feel the Holy Spirit move all around you so much that you burst into tears of unmeasurable joy, at feeling the pure presence of God. Praise the Lord!!

The very first revival was when Jesus spoke and thousands of people came to see Him at the sermon on the Mount. Praise the Lord!!

A revival doesn't start in a building, a revival begins in the Heart of the Believer. It begins with the Faithfulness and Obedience of one person who has a Passion for God. Ex: Brownsville Revival, Azusa St. Revival

I believe that some revivals are from God not all. I believe God leads some minsters, prophets, evangelist , etc. to carry on or lead a revival. When prayers and fasting is done he leads those where he sees a need of revival of souls, or where souls need healing or souls are to be saved.

TRUE revivals do.
Many that are advertised as such are just that; advertising.
If it is a Revival that comes from the Holy Spirit, then people will know about it.

I think so. I know when people earnestly pray for a revival, the Holy Spirit will send a spirit of revival to a town- church.
I also think God will stir up the desire for revival.

The Pink Monkey doesn't like revivals! They are the work of the evil Blue Monkey!

Follow only the pink monkey! He's the one with the big banana!

Some have been from God. but, on the other hand, some I think are mainly peptalk, a group trying to get excited over God and their faith, like cheerleading.

For what it's worth I'd think that if Christians were really "born again" as they claim they stay born again and wouldn't need to be revived every year.
