If a group of men decided what went into the bible what if they left out something important?
Why does the oldest bible in the world have so many differences
to the one we have now?
how do you know God was even talking to us in this time. Our problems are alot diferent than back then.
It seems to me God should come down and just sought this mess
out

What ever has been written in the Bible about the God is the distorted truth. Hence, it is more of a blasphemy rather than revelation. Secondly, it has been revised and translated so many times that the original version has been reduced to zero. At the moment they are selling the man made concoctions as version of Prophets. It has no legitimacy, you are absolutely right.

Welcome to the club!

A group of men DID decide what went into the Bible and they DID LEAVE OUT several important INFORMATION that somehow "did not suit their needs at the time..."

[3]
Actually, there's NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE between the "oldest Bible" in the World to the ones we have now except for these:

It contains a few more books [called the Apocrypha] that were written by Minor Prophets, which the later church leaders of Protestantism DID NOT FEEL it was important enough to be included among the "canonical scriptures" --those books that were deemed to complete all the doctrines needed for a church.

And the other difference would be in the translations to different languages [because of lack of exact words at times], although for the most part, the "essence" of the Message remains the same and understood. Still, it is open for interpretation once more...

[4]
How do we know that there exists Divine Intervention now, you ask? Well, simply put, look at ALL THE INQUIRIES surrounding the contents of the Bible now... And compare these hundreds of thousands of questions being raised NOW to, say, only 20 or 30 years ago when practically NO ONE REALLY cared to ask or if they did they were merely told to shut up??

Our problems concerning religion and institutionalized churches REMAIN the same for many centuries now. The MAIN DIFFERENCE today is that these problems are now prevalent in the Human Consciousness and PEOPLE ARE becoming more and more vocal about such matters... ASKING FOR REAL ANSWERS from the authorities and the powers that be.

As for your last point, let's FIRST USE OUR OWN INTELLECT AND UNDERSTANDING in sorting out the mess that we all got ourselves into to begin with.

Peace be with you.

Toto, God did come to earth to sort it out, haven't you read the bible. The New Testament is all about God showing up here on earth and His testifying to the truth so that mankind could could fulfill the purpose of their creation. The oldest bible in the world only has differences based on syntax and current understanding of the definitions of some words. You are getting bogged down on details that do not harm the overall message. Besides God authored the books of the bible they were only written by men. God's spirit is in the written word of God and if you have been born in spirit as a child of God then there is a spirit to Spirit connection with God that will enable you to understand what God is saying. And yes, sometimes we misunderstand and miss what God is saying. What is important is that you continue to invest in getting to know about God through the bible and you invest in getting to know God personally through prayer and praise.

If you read the bible you will find that our problems are not very different at all. Time has passed, people are still the same.

This is the main reason that I don't understand people who follow the bible down to the last letter and will kill for what it says. I believe in God 100% and believe that He did speak to us once upon a time. But as far as the bible goes, it was written by men with adgendas of their own and bent the words into what suited them at the time. If the bible ever was "the word of God", it certainly isn't now. It has been twisted, revised, edited for content, until it no longer holds the true meaning. The golden rule and the ten commandments are all anyone ever needs from that book.

Welcome to the club, pal. The bible is a work of fiction, so if you keep that in mind, it will alleviate your concerns.
They left out the dinosaurs--a pretty important oversight--oh, I'm sorry, the people who wrote the bible didn't know dinosaurs existed since the first dinosaur skeleton wasn't discovered until the 19th century.
Have you ever played the telephone game where someone whispers something into the ear of the first person sitting in a circle a message and so on, and by the time the message reaches the originator of the message, it has completely changed? Voila--the bible.
No answer to your last 2 questions, since he doesn't exist.

The Bible has had many translations, but it all comes down to the same points. All problems (yes even in todays time) have an answer in the Bible. Our problems today, may not be the exact problems of Biblical days in any sense of the word, but they still have the same resolve. Next time you have a problem, open the Bible up to any page, and somewhere in the verses, it will give you an answer.

The bible is confusing and makes no sence and there is no way that the modern bible is that what was written thousands of years ago. Why a god that was written in an ancient book whom was so active then and why he is not now, I dont get it. This world is so evil with murder, rape, just everything, an ugly world and people (not physical ugly) he should of flooded the earth again or burned it, but he has not....is he really around or just a thousands of years sick joke.

It would be nice if He did- and I believe He is to come again.
The Bible is God inspired Holy Spirit protected, handed down through the ages for the benefit of man. God does not need a Bible.
If it is confusing to you, read smaller sections, get a good amplified Bible and ask God to help you understand.

If god 'could' come down and sort this mess out we wouldnt have had any mess in the first place. So much for a happy and loving god. There are that many translations of the bible these days you are better off making one up yourself.

Anyone who has any level of intelligence should have concerns. The bible is a collection of lies, exaggerations, poor translations and errant nonsense.
It really is about time that civilised mankind realised that ALL religion is man-made (invented by the loopy), that there is no such thing as a 'god' and reality is all you get.
Muslims in particular should drag themselves into this century but the nutty jesus-freaks need to get a hold of real life too.

ATHEISM IS THE ONLY LOGICAL CHOICE.

The Bible is to help us to understand God. In the OT He is speaking primarily to the Jews, in the NT He is speaking to everyone. The men who came together were theologians, whom have studied the jewish and christianity for many years. Even though you can find a few passages that contridicts, the whole books itself represents God.In the book of Hebrew, it says that Jesus is the same today, tomorrow, and forever, so the commandments will always stay the same. Also, in matthew ch. 25? Jesus said that He did not come to destroy the old law, but to fulfill them. And God will be coming down to sort this mess out--very soon.
