Matthew 7:22 (NEB) "Many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, cast out devils in your name, and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them to their face, 'I never knew you; out of my sight, you and your wicked ways!'"

Revelation 21:8 (NIV) But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death

If you believe there is an invisible giant man of a particular ethnicity in the sky who is directing everything and who is so hateful he will viciously punish us for challenging his existence--

If you believe that this invisible giant man got a 13-year-old virgin girl pregnant, who then gave birth to him as his own son--

If you believe that this god person wrote a book--and one book only--

If you believe that "confessing the Lord" will instantly remove your sins, thus allowing you to commit more--

If you believe that a stone will remove your sins, thus allowing you to commit more--

If you believe in vicarious blood-atonement, i.e., that "the Lord died for your sins" and thus you can commit as many as you wish--

If you believe that merely believing in such a god person makes you righteous, no matter what atrocities you commit and what hatred and intolerance you carry and spread--

Everyone has a right to thier own beliefs. Even Atheists. So why is it that they are trying to destroy our faith in God so often by taking everything we do to court. Why do christians allow them to take away our rights?

I saw in Jesus Camp that the camp was called "Kids On Fire", and I had a horrible vision of kids in a tragic propane accident. Fortunately, the kids in this movie were physically unharmed.

But, still... what is this 'on fire' stuff?

Someone once said to me that she's praying for the dead to make it to heaven and she was "dead" serious. I was like, Uh, isn't it a bit too late for that person in the grave to do something about trying to make it to heaven? We got one shot and we might as well make it the best while we're living and can do something about it. AND, how can a dead person pray... (Mary mother of Jesus please pray for me?)

In the bible, remember before he was a leader, when Moses got dissed by an israelite? The israelite was like, "Are you going to kill me too, like you did to the Egyptian yesterday?" The Isrealite took offense at Moses trying to correct him because of Moses' past sin. Do you think that the Israelite was justified to respond the way he did to the advice that moses was giving him? How are we to respond to advice when it's coming from someone who has a bad record?

evolution? It seems to me that every time a discovery, that is fought tooth and nail with Biblical references, is proven factual, say the Earth being round, somehow the Bible starts to support the facts. Will that happen with Evolution as well?

Doesn't the assumption of a gender mean that there are naughty bits involved? If you look under God's robes, would you see woman bits or man bits? If not, then shouldn't refer to God as "it"?
