i'm not hardened to it. i just know what's true and science won't change my mind.

No Pharaoh heart was hardened by God.
God does not harden Christian hearts to science. God made all the laws of science and He made the world.
Arguing about evolution vs creationism is a waist of time and destructive.
God made the dust that made the big bang and then he caused the elements that He made to come together and form life. He caused the ice age and then created man. We were different in the beginning and have evolved. He made evolution as well.

I don't disagree with all science, just the evolutionary part and the theory that come along with it. And, no, I considered what science said but disagreed and followed God. It's not so much a hardening of the heart than it is a "see something a different way." Since, some science is true and other parts aren't, you have to pick and chose.

As a born again Christian and professional biologist, I don't think your characterization is accurate, at least not as a generality. Certainly it applies to some individuals, and even to some groups of individuals, but not to "Christians" by and large. Religion and science are the two great seekers of truth, and no genuine truth from either source can conflict with any genuine truth from the other.

I have a very strong faith and also a degree in science. There is no hardening in my heart to science, and understanding science has not diminished my belief in a greater power.

No, not hardened to science. Hardened to foolish people making foolish statements and attributing "ultimate truth" to science. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see and understand that science continues to evolve. It's NOWHERE near "ultimate" ANYTHING.

Sin: You are being presumptuous in your conclusion that Christians "hardened their hearts to science" ! (There is one exception, Aza agrees with you though; therefore you are not alone in your assumption !) My brother in law is a Christian and a Doctor of Nuclear Physics ... that makes you and Pharaoh - WRONG !!! (Aza too !) Any Christian worth their salt knows that TRUE religion and science support one another !!! When is it your turn, to soften your heart to science, then ? !!!

Shalom Sinyckel,

Because Christians have negated all reasoning and logic to embrace the literal interpretations of their scriptures. And to utilized reasoning and logic while reading the scriptures would only present a great void in their understanding. It would also would reveal that their is a deeper meaning hidden behind what the letters of the scriptures are trying to convey.

Peace

Opposite is true...science has only supported what the Bible teaches. And Christians should run to science.

Do you mean the philosophy of Macro-evolution that has been disproven by scientific law (2nd law-thermodynamics/atrophy, law doesn't come from non-life, etc...)?
