I have three choices...please tell me which is the best answer.

A. The gods grant favors to societies that obey their laws, but punish societies that disobey them.

B. A ruler is good to the extent that his subjects are living fulfilling and successful lives.

C, A ruler has the approval of heaven (T’ien) only if the people are satisfied.

There is a story I read in Sahih Bukhary (the most authentic source for prophetic statements) that when prophet Muhammed conquered Mekka, his companion told him that one of his enemies (who used to oppose him) was so frightened that he looked for refuge inside the Ka'aba (the most holy place for Muslims). However, prophet Muhammed insisted to order his companions to KILL the man.

Reading that story raised many questions in my mind:

(1) Does that story stand with we have always heard about prophet Muhammed's mercy and forgivness?

(2) Was prophet Muhammed fair to KILL a man for just OPPOSING him?

(3) Why did not prophet Muhammed respect the Ka'aba?

I know it is an old testament law so please don't quote the old testament. I know all the scriptures. The bible says that we are not supposed to lay the old covenant onto the new and visa versa. I do tithe only because I love my church and I know they need a regular income coming in just like we do to pay their bills. But I was not saved in a church. I have walked for 30 years letting the Lord guide me what He wants me to do and who He wants me to help and who He wants me to give to. We have a personal relationship with Him. I am comfortable with that and it works for me. But then there's this law thrown in there. It doesn't feel right. Am I the only one that feels this or do other Christians sense that it doesn't fit in with the rest of what Jesus and the disciples taught, too?

Are all Christians required to check clothing labels before purchasing apparel, to make sure they don't wear anything made from two different kinds of fibers? Are Christian women supposed to stay home from church once a month when "Aunt Flo" is visiting? If you catch your Christian daughter messing around with a young man while she is still living under your roof, do you have to stone her to death right then, or can you wait till morning?
Which part of the Bible tells you which Laws God wants to to follow for real, and which Laws you can choose to ignore because they don't suit your lifestyle?

can we prove all of the above scientifically

The problem of the atheist, is that they want to prove averything with an experiment or a scientific reseach!! There are things we cannot prove with science.

Science is a big part of the Creation but is not "all"

example- All humans cry, Right?

now - this theory has 2 parts

1. We cry because of a internal emotion produce by a feeling

2. The biological part of this is that we cry cuz our body produces tears ( some kind of water and something else) Right?

so we cannot explain the entire creation ( humans, animal etc.) with Science only, of course is a big part but like i said Science is not the "all" of everything..

All i can say is that God is Real.

In an answer to a previous question, one of the responses was that "your religion guides your morality"

Is that a true statement. If so, than atheist would lack morality, correct. And so would agnostics. I dont believe that to be the case, but do others? And if so, does that make religious people the only moral ones? I always thought morality was individually inacted, and socially imposed

If you ignore the god, father and son babble, isn't Jesus basically a Buddhist? Do you think that Jesus used those words to be more easily accepted by his audience?

I am a dedicated Christian and have been all my life. But I am always finding myself drawn to the path of wicca. Things that witches do, like magic and astral projection, come very very natural to me, as well as clairvoyance.

So I'm wondering why, even though I am part of one religion, do I have a natural draw to another. Am I a natural witch or is a reincarnation thing. Any SERIOUS input would sure be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm LDS, that means Mormon... same thing. My mom tells me about the Joseph Smith History etc.. I understand it yes, but my mom says this is the only true Church, the others are false. Well, I told her "no, are church is not the true Church in the world, there are other religions like Buddhism, Paganism that they are good too." I don't believe that there is any true religion out there, we all have different beliefs.

I explained that to her, and he points out scriptures, and explains why this religion is wrong, and that religion is wrong... I'm saying doesn't matter, people have the right to choose any religion that best describes who they are, and that fits their personality.

I'm LDS, and I'm best friends with an Atheist, and I respect his beliefs and he respects mine, however, my mom feels uncomfortable having him over... I love my mom, but she just doesn't understand that tolerance is the key to the truth.

The Catholic church has been historically present within some of the greatest turning points of history. The economics would be staggering, and the current climate would be an interesting environment for such a question.

He's this dude that keeps posting "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life" at the end of every one of his posts that I've seen him reply in, and half the time this stupid story called "Allah or Jesus?" accompanies it. Can't this guy get a life?

There is this game website where you can pay so much money to enter these tournaments. Then, if you win, you get some money. So it's basically gambling.
I don't gamble, but I do play their games for free. Well, now they have this thing where you can enter certain tournaments for free. After playing for a long time, you can get enough points to earn these prizes, such as game money to play on (and then you can turn it into real money by winning), or gift certificates to amazon.com or Wal-mart, etc.

Ok, so I've won $18 so far and am about to get enough points to win a $10 gift certificate to amazon.com. And I haven't put any money into it.

Is this wrong? I mean, they are a business trying to make money. And I'm never going to pay them any money. So I'm just using their promos to my benefit, basically.

What do you think?

Do you have people misread your questions? Correct you on the same point you are making? Infer you are saying things you clearly aren't? My guess is the reading comprehension level is around seventh grade at most.

What I don't understand about Christianity is that if the God described in the Bible, the one who is the Father of Jesus Christ is the TRUE God and the Truth, then does that mean that all the Buddhists and Muslims and Hindus, etc are going to go to Hell? Like it doesn't make sense. I want so much to believe in God, but there are so many inconsistencies. How can a whole society of believers in their God (Allah, Buddha, Shiva (?)) be WRONG when their religions have been around for thousands of years longer than Christianity. Am I wrong to want to believe that there is one God and he is Jehovah AND Allah AND Buddha but that he is known under different names to different peoples? Will someone please explain this to me? thanks
