BELIEVER

I BELIEVE life is more than survival...

I BELIEVE the heart is more than a muscle...

I BELIEVE in hope and freedom...

I BELIEVE we can know right from wrong...

I BELIEVE my life can make a difference...

I BELIEVE in the message of the Cross...

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

that atheism makes life more precious? it seems to me that since we believe that life is pointless, that it isn't precious. it doesn't matter when we die or what we do before we die because in the end...we die! and then we don't remember if we were happy or sad all of our lives or that we did or did not expierence something. we're dead and that's it.

am I alone here? When I go to Mass, I want to just go to Mass. Not hold hands and give the kiss of peace to people I don't even know that just happen to be sitting beside me in the pews. And I don't sing well, or enjoy it. But it seems mandatory now, too.

Please do not mention how denominations are not needed. Please go somewhere else with your arrogant attitudes.

I'm looking for a denomination, and while I am going to try many, I am curious how they differ from each other in terms of what is allowed in church (music, etc.), the activities they undertake outside of church (camps), and the general atmosphere inside of church.

Any help you can give would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

If the State of Israel by G-d's grace were to cease to exist, would that change your attitude towards Jews. Also, if you were to see concrete evidence that the State of Israel actually persecutes people who continue to practice Judaism, would it change your attitude?

If he existed just a little concieted: "And God, looking on the light, saw that it was good: and God made a division between the light and the dark,"
I mean "Saw that it was good" by whose standards don't they say that pride comes before a fall!

there is for Julius Caesar. Then they have no knowledge of any of the documents that corroborate this statement. Is there truly this much evidence for Jesus' existence?

If he was so well known, why was no gospel written until 40 years after his death?

"Buddhism didn't exsist until 500 years after Jesus' lifetime on Earth."

First Christians found out Jesus was born about 4BC and now this one claims he was born more than 1,000 years BC.

Amazing.

ok i have to say now, because this question is like a daily occurence.

Myths deal more with creatures not with gods - such that - Harpies, Cyclops, Dragons, Medusa, Yeti, Bigfoot, Chupacabra, Loch Ness Monster. those are myths. they are not to be mixed with religions

Religions deal more with gods, the afterlife, philosophy of life, morality.

that being said, greek "mythology" includes zues and hades and those characters, because they are more involved with mythological creatures. u can find stories of centaurs and minotaurs and other mythological creatures weaved through. otherwise if u take jsut the gods and not the stories they would be more considered religion then a myth.

u guys agree, or what do you think?

Is it hard to see everyone around you in the Christmas spirit...shopping for gifts, decorating their homes, planning Christmas parties and trips, etc?
Do you spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day just like any ordinary day?
