If he existed just a little concieted: "And God, looking on the light, saw that it was good: and God made a division between the light and the dark,"
I mean "Saw that it was good" by whose standards don't they say that pride comes before a fall!

Pride is also one of the several deadly sins - if god was truly perfect, he wouldn't have commented on his own work.

"And god said, 'yes, it's there. Now to other things.'"

---

Wait, why did he only say 'good'? Shouldn't it have been 'perfect', considering it was his design?

I think that you have a misconception about humility there.

Humility is not denying the good and the gifts that you have.

It is not intelligent men saying that they are stupid or beautiful women saying that they are ugly.

*Humility is truth.*

A humble person does not deny the attributes and gifts that he or she has - that would be untruthful.

But the humble person recognizes that all that he has comes from God and without God he would be nothing.

Pride or conceit is to put ourselves above others when we don't merit it and claims what we don't have.

Lucifer was proud, not because he recognized his greatness, but because he wanted to become equal to God.

But God knowing that He is all good and all perfect is simply the recognition of that truth in Him by Him, which is humility.

well if God is God
if God is the Intelligent Designer
if God is the Prime Mover
if God is the Supreme Being
if God is the Beginning & the End
then God must be conceited by our (human) definition

When the Creator (of all things) said that what He saw was good, then it must be good & it is by His standards that it is good.

by Human Nature anything unknown is considered evil whether we want to believe it or not, I am not saying "God" doesnt exist but rather that this was human error and was not inspired by the Holy Spirit merely the humane nature. If we cannot see in the dark then is is unknown, therefor we conceive it as evil. When we can see all in our way [light] then we believe that it is "Good" because there are no surprises and nothing can hide.

Blessed be
Is it just me or do I get thumbs down just for my avatar

What it means is that after God saw the light He just created, He realized it would help His children and creations

He's perfect and has a right to be proud. And they are his standards. You, and I, and the rest of the world, don't. In fact you're concieted for thinking that... heh. And I am for telling you that you're being concieted.

God Bless.

It also says that God had to examine light before he knew it was good....which is a contradiction for a being that is supposed to be all knowing to begin with. Wouldn't he know that light was good before he looked at it?

You are obviously from the USA aren't you? Ask someone from Africa this same question & you will get a totally different answer..."no that wasn't conceit" they would say.

God, however is about bringing glory to Himself while still managing to love us and focus on us as well.

Well, I take your point - it's only supposed to be "God's" judgement of what's good, what's bad, what's sin etc. Bit of a slanted playing field, no?
"This is good. All else is bad".
"Who says?"
"I do"
"Well who are you then?"
"I'm God, me."
"And why should I believe you when you say it's good."
"Cos I'm perfect, and I made it."
"You're...perfect....riiiiight...says who?"
"Says me!"
"Oh right and you're perfect, yeah sorry, I was forgetting...sooo if I do anything you don't like...I mean, even if I like it a lot, if lots of people love it, and want to give me sackloads of cash for it...if you don't like it...it's no good?"
"Yep, that's about the size of it. Deal. I'm God, whaddaya gonna do?"
"Wow....sucks to be me..."
