Attendance is usually low during christmas day,b/c everyone stays home to be with the family. which is ironic,b/c christmas is supposed to be about the birth of Christ, and I think spending time in church to honor that would please God more. However, the catholic church stayed open!!:)

That's a sad thing to hear. Our church did not close on Christmas day. We had two services on Christmas Eve like always and then had our two Sunday morning services like always. It made it more special because Christmas fell on a Sunday. I don't understand why any church would close on a day that is supposed to be about Jesus Christ.

Christmas fell on Sunday last year. Some churches decided to close so that kids could open their presents earlier and have "family time". My church was open that day, and my family went to worship on the day Christians have set aside to celebrate the fact that Christ was born.

Because very few people go to church on Christmas Day, they mostly go on Christmas Eve.
