your first step would be to decide what one would accept as proof. So then comes into question who is going to decide if the proof works i.e. your audience. If you r trying to prove it to an atheist or such as the above Jackass then it would not take much. On the other hand if you are trying to convince someone like me who has experience with God then you would have to show my experiences were from some other source and then u would be half way there. I think proving that a red car is blue is easy for someone who has the right audience. While in the navy, I knew such a budding con, man who could do such things on a bet. He knew there were people you could never con, and he said they are the ones who are not selfish. This reveals a truth for selling an idea, first there has got to be at least the illusion that there is something to be gained by believing you. Note you might use that to explain why some say they are and probably do believe they are Christians.

I can not think of a single con that would be successful for there being no God because there is no advantage, except in that you get to believe that pride is a good thing.

Obviously the existence of God can't be scientifically proved or disproved. Atheism is based on unverifiable assumptions. Actually atheism is based on faith, just like religion.

Consider Nicholas H's comment above. What he says is fair enough. He reminds us that believers cannot prove the existence of God. But what he neglects to mention is that atheists cannot prove the non-existence of God. Thus atheism is based on belief and faith just like religion is.

There's a fundamental principle of logical reasoning:
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. That means that just because you don't see it doesn't prove it doesn't exist. I don't care what you believe or don't believe but some of you atheists make yourselves look foolish when you defeat your own arguments.

It is not up to atheists to prove God's nonexistence. It is up to those who believe to show the proof. Outrageous claims require outrageous proof.
EXAMPLE:
Let us pretend that I believe in a flying pink unicorn I keep locked in my closet that breathes fire, is invisible, and demands our worship without showing itself to us. I have now informed you about it, will you believe in it? Unless you are very gullible or delusional, your response should be "prove it".
