Each person is born in a religious environment that is not of his/her own choice. From the very beginning of human existence in this world, they are assigned the religion of their family or the ideology of the state. By the time individuals reach their teens they usually accept the beliefs of their parents or that of their particular society. However, when some people mature and are exposed to other beliefs and ideologies, they begin to question the validity of their own beliefs. Seekers of truth often reach a point of confusion upon realizing that believers of every religion, sect, ideology and philosophy all claim to have the one and only correct religion or ideology.

There are only three possibilities. They are either all correct; all wrong or only one is correct and the rest are wrong. They cannot all be right since all religions are different from each other in their fundamentals. Furthermore, the majority claim that they alone are correct and the rest are wrong. On the other hand, to claim that they are all wrong is to deny that God revealed His will to humankind. This proposition is absurd to those who believe in a Wise Creator. So, which religion is the right one and how can the seeker of truth know it?

In beginning one’s search for which religion is true, one should keep in mind four things in mind: First, God gave us abilities and intellects to make the crucial decision: WHAT IS THE TRUE RELIGION? Second, God, the Most Compassionate, did not leave us to go astray without any guidance. Indeed, He sent us prophets with scriptures to show us the right path. Third, seeking the true religion should be the most important thing in one’s life because the everlasting life to come depends on it.1 Fourth, one can determine the true path and make a rational and correct decision only if emotions and prejudices, which often blind one to reality, are put aside.

I have an excellent story on this

041:046] Whosoever does righteous good deed, it is for (the benefit of) his own self; and whosoever does evil, it is against his own self. And your Lord is not at all unjust to (His) slaves.

Narrated Abu Mûsâ [May God be Pleased with Him]: The Prophet [Peace Be Upon Him] said, "The example of Muslims, Jews and Christians is like the example of a man who employed labourers to work for him from morning till night for specific wages. They worked till mid-day and then said, 'We do not need your money which you have fixed for us and let whatever we have done be annulled.' The man said to them, 'Don't quit the work, but complete the rest of it and take your full wages.' But they refused and went away (like the Jews who refused to believe in the Message of Jesus ['alayhis-salâm]). The man employed another batch after them and said to them, 'Complete the rest of the day and yours will be the wages I had fixed for the first batch.' So, they worked till the time of 'Asr prayer. They said, 'Let what we have done be annulled and keep the wages you have promised us for yourself!' The man said to them, 'Complete the rest of the work, as only a little of the day remains;' but they refused (like the Christians who refused to believe in the Message of Muhammad ). Thereafter, he employed another batch to work for the rest of the day and they worked for the rest of the day till the sunset, and they received the wages of the two former batches. So that was the example of these people (Muslims) and the example of this light [Islamic Monotheism, the Qur'ân, the Sunnah (legal ways of the Prophet ) and the guidance which Prophet Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him] brought] which they have accepted willingly."*
[Sahih Al-Bukhari, 3/2271 (O.P.471)]

* The Jews refused to believe in the Message of 'Îsâ (Jesus), so all their work was annulled; similarly, the Christians refused to accept the Message of Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him] and thus their work was annulled too. Such people were not rewarded, because they refused to have true Faith for the rest of their lives and died as disbelievers. They should have believed in the latest Message; for their insistence on keeping their old religion deprived them of the reward which they would have got for their previous good deeds achieved before the advent of the new religion. On the other hand, Muslims accepted and believed in all the three Messages and deserved a full reward for their complete surrender to God. (Al-Qastalâni)

For the unknowledgable when you say Allah you are saying 'The God' in Arabic, which is referring to THE HOLY FATHER, whom Christians sometimes pray too (when they should be invoking him alone)

The truest religion seems to be the one with the MOST IDEAL morality, for this is what God typcically teaches.

So, here we have one that is morally inferior:
Islam. So we disregard it.

Of the other two Judaism and Christianity, the morality is almost identical, but in Christianity is radically more difficult to live by.

Therefore, Christianity is the logical choice.

If that is true then why aren't people in Muslim countries allowed to hear the views of other religions? You wonder why there isn't big conversions all over the Middle East, it is because you are not allowed to hear anything good about Christianity and certainly not Buddhism or any of the other religions in the world.

Beg to differ. I was born and raised away from God. I was an athiest. Not I'm a follower of Christ, not religion. Religion is the reason why I was an athiest and also the reason why I know now that Christ is way better :)

2:62 "Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve."
2:82 But those who have faith and work righteousness, they are companions of the Garden: Therein shall they abide (For ever).

your religion says you should back off.

So do it. Preach to Hindus and Buddists if you want.

I don't see the question, but it's whatever works for you. Keep looking until something really "pops" out that you like. Everyone wants to be right, yet only one group is. I don't know what that group is either. No one living does.

Deception and distraction away from the love and mercy of the one true God, and of salvation thru His Son, Jesus, is NOT a "birth right".
