This forum is a proper place for those kind of answers because it is Religion AND Spirituality. Some of us are not religious, but spiritual.

We could say Why don't you just stop with all the God stuff to you and it would be exactly the same as what you have said in your question.

This is a free country and we are entitled to freedom of speech. If you don't like it, you don't have to be here, that is another freedom you have.

To answer that question is that those individuals don't have the nerve to truely put God to the test of finding out that HE is really there. They are just too fearful of the answer which they will get and that is that they are needing to change some of thier ways. They feel as you know living in ignorance of the Laws means that I can break them and not feel guilty for living the way they are. But as you and I know claiming ignorance of God's laws doesn't preclude you from being judged by them in the end.

Because people ask questions (that are not real questions) based on an assumption. It is right that if they cannot see an alternative, it should be pointed out to them.

I would agree with the other poster that "It says so in the bible" is just as bad an answer.

Most annoying answers in R/S:

1. [your question is pointless because] God doesn't exist
2. God did it, we'll never know why because he's mysterious
3. Just have faith, no need for proof you silly heathen, just believe and it's true
4. Man wrote the bible, yes, BUT god inspired it so it MUST be true
5. 2pnts

No, I don't believe in god, but I respect other people's opinions and beliefs. Basically, no one takes questions seriously, which can be very annoying when you actually want opinions. I think that you should just ignore people that don't take you seriously, and move on to people who will actually listen (err....Read?) to you and give you intelligent answers. Hope this helps!

u know, the same goes the other way. "god exists the bible says so" and other bogus statements. i agree both of these bug me. when people ask a question, no one answers the question with a rational answer. instead they beat around the bush by stating god does or does not exist.

another one that irritates me, is when u ask a question and someone says "thats a stupid question" but they never answer it. so apparently they dont have an answer for a stupid question, doesnt that make them a bit more stupid then the questioner? do people ever think of what they are saying?

grrrrr

I realize that it's not the answer you are searching for, but it represents a perfectly valid point of view. When Wiccans post questions about how to cast this or that spell, Christians frequently pipe up with "the Bible says witchcraft is of the Devil" or something akin to that. Wiccans don't find that helpful either, but it represents their point of view.

It is no answer to say that some thing does not exist. This way of response is a convenient pretext to avoid the real issue at stake. Your effort to get to the core of the matter is sabotaged by such persons due to their incapacity and ignorance. They should use positive analysis to expand the idea behind their contention which may be in full disagreement with yours, does not matter.

People are stupid if they say God doesn't exist and bash Christianity... Look around, only an idiot would go "O wow... theres no God" How was the world and everything in it created?

I don't usually answer questions that way, but I think it has something to do with parity. Many questions posed by atheists are answered with lines of scripture.
