It doesnt matter if you think the Bible is a waste of paper.
Or if you hate G-d because your parents are dead.

It doesnt matter if you think "logic" says G-d isnt real.
It doesnt matter what lie you tell yourself in order to make it justified in your brain thats its OK not to believe.

He DOES NOT CARE about your opinion. Never did Jesus say, "the Kingdom of Heaven is like a democracy, a vote or a debate"
Never.

You can say anything you like. If your heart does not repent and receive Jesus....you are not going!

Its real, no matter what you think!

Do you know how TRUE this is?? Or do you think G-d cares about your 2 cents??

I was doing some research on the history of the bible and I found a book titled "The Jesus Mysteries-Was the Original Jesus a Pagan God?" I was skeptic at first but I ordered it out of curiosity. Is it true that December 25th was also the date of birth of a similiar ancient greek god? Also that where the Vatican stands was once a Pagan Temple? This type of information really troubles me as a Christian. The writers of the book have lots of sources for their information so it doesnt just seem to be some crazy conspiracy theory. Anyone have any information that would discredit these claims?

Calvinists - God chose ME, glory to ME, too bad for YOU, and I don't have to do a thing to evangelize YOU.

Arminians - IIIII made the choice, glory to ME for making it, God has to obey ME and save ME since IIIIIII have free will.

I know, both sides will say "it's not that way", but is this how you view the other side???

Ever since I was baby I was raised catholic but my family wants me to be baptized into their Baptist church can I be both religions or does it even matter or if I get baptized Baptist will I lose being catholic? I’m really confused someone help me please....serious answers only please...

My last question was too broad, and most stated they did not know of any instances in the bible in which certain acts are approved. I will limit this question to rape and provide a few examples to hopefully eliminate this response. (Deuteronomy 22--stoning of rape victims, rape victim must marry the rapist; Deuteronomy 21:10-14; Judges 21:10-24-"catching wives") One instance is analagous to a child molester being allowed to adopt his victim, with no punishment. Others are God's word about how to treat captive females. I'd like to obtain popular justifications from Christians and non-Christians alike that aspire to resolve this apparent cognitive dissonance. What are some things Christians have told you? As a Christian, what are some things you use/think? Thanks again to all respondents in advance!

Really,
If I go through life doing "good works" and have good morals I'm not aloud in because I haven't accepted Jesus into my life. Yet my nieghbor who is a serial killer but has "repented or accepted Jesus (what ever the religion states) is aloud in. This doesn't seem very just. Is this God's plan or some religions plan to use Jesus and or God in order to have people follow that religion?
I'd rather see everyone thrown into a pile much like you do hockey sticks when choosing teams and have God simply throw sticks blindly to one side or the other, at least I'd stand a chance. God cannot be that nieve...... I will follow the same path I'm on and if that sends me to an eternity of flame and screaming and gnashing of teeth so be it. At least I would have lived a honest life.

I'm sorry, but I see so many questions and answers by people who can't spell, who get their facts all wrong, who present a quote from the Bible but fail to look at surrounding verses. I see people condemning others with incomplete facts and rhetoric based on completely false propositions.

Why not take the time to read more than a single verse?
Why not take the time to use a concordance to find out what the original language really said?
Why not take the time to use a spell-checker, which is free on the site?
Doesn't your faith deserve research?
Doesn't your God deserve an ambassador who can spell, or put forth a coherent question?

Just wondering.

Or "You can't answer for God." It seems like those people don't understand that God has told us what He thinks. He wrote down a lot of instructions in the Bible. So when people answer with direct quotes from scripture, it is like God IS answering them. I hate it when people try to claim ignorance about God's will. That's why He wrote it down for us.

So in another question of mine, I used some bad wording and implied atheists don't have morals. My bad, sorry.

Anyway, I've always been under the impression morals for atheists come a person's own judgement. Or is there something more to atheism, other than not believing in a god, such as certain morals you must abide by?

I mean yeah you buy it for a cheaper price than going to the store but the artist still doesn't get any money so its a form or stealing. And you're promoting it as well by giving money to the theif.

The Bible says follow the law of the land. Which means... well... the law. So should Christian download free music (illegally of course) or buy dubbed cds?

I personally do it myself but if I really like the cd or feel the artist is annointed or well wit their craft, I buy the cd so they make profit because I want to hear more from them.

But if I dont like it I'm like oh well i won't support or want them to be successful over something if I feel they can do much better or music is just not their thing.

i have to write a front page of a paper for school about jesus and that kind of stuff. i need 3 articles and have 2. i have something on the thorns jesus was crowned with. and jesus as a miracle man.

- the paper is dated in the year like 29 AD about. and it is stuff that could have happened within the previous 30 years.

- so the point is, what would make a good 3rd article? thanks.
