I'm sorry, but I see so many questions and answers by people who can't spell, who get their facts all wrong, who present a quote from the Bible but fail to look at surrounding verses. I see people condemning others with incomplete facts and rhetoric based on completely false propositions.

Why not take the time to read more than a single verse?
Why not take the time to use a concordance to find out what the original language really said?
Why not take the time to use a spell-checker, which is free on the site?
Doesn't your faith deserve research?
Doesn't your God deserve an ambassador who can spell, or put forth a coherent question?

Just wondering.

I pointed out the faults of Christians as opposed to others simply because Christians are speaking supposedly as ambassadors for their GOD. Surely this deserves more care than instructions as to how to bake a cake?

Others misspell, but that's only a small part of my question; what about the rest?

As far as the generalization, that's how stereotypes begin; one sees a trend and extrapolates. I am speaking of the majority.

I'm pleased that some have strived to post well thought out answers.

I'm also amused by the number who took offense to my remarks regarding spelling, and neglected the rest of the post. It seems that if one is somehow insulted, they pick the easiest portion to defend, ignoring the rest; perhaps they feel justified that way.

...wondering is good.
Reasons:
1) for some people English is the second language - me
2) some people here (Yahoo Answers) for the few seconds.
3) some people's typing is bad

4) Or the combination of (1)+(2)
or (1)+(3)
or (1)+(2)+(3)
or (2)+(3)
or something I didn't mention.

P.S. I just wondering what is your educational level.
Grammatical mistakes make no difference. What if I make my own language, who would care? But if I support infanticide by aproving abortion, that will make a huge difference.

~~peace~~

It not only Christians. I've seen plenty of misspelled words on here including my own. And the deal with quotes from the bible, but fail to look at the surrounding verses....well that is why there is so many different beliefs. I do agree with your second part. People do need to read and study the whole bible for themselves. And last but certainly not least, God deserves so much more than us imperfect humans will ever be able to give Him.

Someone didn't finish High School blame it on the Christians

Someone didn't read his Bible correctly blame it on ALLLLLL the Christians

Someone can't read Hebrew blame it on the Christians

Someone didn't use spell check blame it on The Christians

Someone doesn't know how to research their answers blame it on the Christians.....

Please stop generalizing everyone, unless you are going to go through the profiles of every Christian and see if what you are saying is true. Oh but wait doesn't that mean you did not research your question as well?

What I don't understand is how can someone who does not even believe in my faith can actually tell me how to represent my faith? It's like a Christian trying to tell an Atheist how to represent the facts on not believing in God ..... Just wondering

Thank you for saying that. While I don't worry much about people who can't spell (it's really not their fault - blame their English teachers and parents!), I do believe a lot of people take many things out of context. One example is the countless people I run into that think getting a tattoo is a sin. Look it up, folks - it's right near the verse that says not to shave your facial hair, in the old testament!!

Thanks. As Christians, we should take pride in what we do and bring God the glory in all things.

:: sigh :: Christians are no better than any other large, diverse group of humans. We have the same divorce rate, the same range of incomes, and yes, the same range of education amounts and capacities for learning. Some of us are morons. Some of us are geniuses.

I'm sorry that you feel that Christianity is being represented in the public eye by the morons. That's been my fear too for years.

Still, God makes use of even the uneducated. Many of the disciples could not read and write. The new testament Greek is often pocked with grammatical mistakes. Revelation has some subject-verb agreement issues. (My wife thinks it was a 3rd grade project back then.) Isn't our God bigger than this minor problem of diversity?

While I agree that some of the Christian responses are pretty lame, and some actually unchristian in style, I get the feeling you are asking for learned theological treatises here in Answers. But normally people who answer questions in Yahoo Answers are not taking the time do do an hour-long Bible study. And putting an over-long answer - (sometimes I do) will almost guarantee that nobody will read it.

well I'll speak on behalf of those who can't spell, as any one of my stalkers will tell you I'm not known for my flawless responses.

I really do not care if my spelling is bad, I am not here to get an A on some paper, and this is not a school. Those who think I am an idiot would have reached the same conclusion if I spelled everything correctly, likewise those that think I am brilliant, have come to this conclusion, even though I'm known for my misspellings. To be blunt. I really don't care to bother spelling things correctly.

I really don't think that we Christians have the market cornered with those mistakes.I am aware that I do make mistakes from time to time. However, I am only human.Even with the spell-checker, the computer is a machine and it tends to make mistakes from time to time to.Spelling is the least of my worry when I answer questions. My main concern is for my brothers and sisters who are not learned in deceptions of satan.May God Bless

I agree whole-heartedly, it is shocking at how ignorant Christians are about their own religion and the prejudice they spout without any sort of balance. Sometimes I think there are some here who need a mental healing...sry if I've offended some, but maybe at times I need it too.

That being said, there are some questions here that deserve those kinds of answers.

God doesnt need an ambassador who can spell but cannot change soul from bad to good.
God doesnt need somebody who knows or can read the bible well if he dont practice it in his life.
God only need somebody who has a pure heart, good to others and can show the example God teaches.
God usually chooses the not bright one to ashame those who claim they are bright.
