Yes Larry was from the 70's but I believe he is still sing ing today

Larry Norman is awesome. He was ahead of his time. He would fit right in with todays Contemporary Christian Music scene.

It's old and we used to sing it all the time in a church I attended for a while. The worship leader was an old hippie with long hair, who could really play the guitar and keyboard. Everyone liked the song.
