It is about New Orleans after Katrina. I love both of those bands and I am so excited to see them do a song together.

Do you guys think that fter we die and go to heaven that we remember our lives on Earth? Our family and friends? And will we reunite in Heaven? Will we still have that bond of ..let's say....Mother and Child? I just don't see the point of living if in the end, it is forgotten.

But with karma( reap what you sow) I see two things in place: One, God gesture won't go in vain. Two, abuses would be put in check.

What's your opinion on this?

Do you think after you die that God is going to make you suffer in Hell if you were "bad" here on earth? It seems like there are a lot of different ones here that feel that way, I see a lot of questions here about that. I do NOT feel that way. I feel that God would NEVER send Good or Bad to burn in hell, that does not fit his personality since he is a God of Love. What do you think? “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they any more have wages.”—Eccl. 9:5 What do you think of this scripture??? Please look up the scripture in your OWN bible.

I will start with this.

We see in John 1 that Jesus was the Word of God, which was God. He is God. Not only that, but it is clear that He was alway in perfect unity with God, and indivisible from God even in death.

How then, can a Judge, known to be perfectly Just, acquit a man from a death sentence, if no price is paid.

If God is not love, then what does the Qu'ran represent.

And if they assault me is it because I have wounded them with the truth, or are they proud, for I speak thusly to Imams, that they may not judge me, but rather discuss more important truths.

Seriously folks, why can't we respect other people's and cultures religion and move on? What is so hard about that? What I believe in is my business and my creator or creators so WHY do people get their nose out of joint because of that? I respect others beliefs, cultures and religions and don't tell them they are wrong.

"let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law, and if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for woman to speak in the church."
1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (BIBLE)

If you can be flexible with THIS verse, why not ALL of them?

1) Only Serious responses please.

2) I'm not a bible thumper or hater of homosexuals. Just posing a question.

3) I signed up on the internet for "10 minutes of Torah" and recently received an article wherein Rabbi Justus Baird stated "HUC openly admits gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students, and JTS does not. The Committee on Jewish Law and Standards of the Rabbinical Assembly (of Conservative Rabbis) is meeting very soon to discuss this topic. "

So, when did Judaism allow homosexuality? I have nothing against homosexuals, etc. I'm just curious, because I've never seen anywhere in the old or New Testament that this is considered o.k. So this kind of took me off guard.

In talking with my three year olds about the sun, and the world, I asked them (twins) if they knew who made the world, and one of them said Santa, and we laughed.

The other one said God. And followed it up with "Why did God make us?" and I said "Us who?" and she said "All the people".

So, out of the mouths of babes, whats a good way to explain to a three year old why God made people?

(Im not new to the board, I know Im going to get alot of Gods not real answers from non believers, and why would you teach your kids that answers, so save your time, I wont read them.)

Personally, I can't wait to celebrate the birth of the god Mithras. He was born on December 25th, you know. I think some other religion came along later and claimed that their savior god was born on December 25th instead, but buggered if I can remember what he was called. :p

What about you guys? Any fun winter holidays coming up?

I think the creation followers think that the big bang is something like throwing a handfull of paper clips into the air and looking for order when they land.

Is God the guy who clips the paperclips into chains?

Is it really like throwing a handful of magnetized paperclips into the air and looking for clusters when they land?

Did it take God to magnetize them?
