Because God forbids Adam and Eve to eat that fruit. While I think he has a point but then again why would God trouble Himself putting tree over there and explicitly commanding not to touch it? Maybe God's reversed psychology?

I won’t say that they can’t be saved; only God knows for sure who will be saved and who will not.
I haven’t read every text ever written but I have read and continue to read the Bible and Qur’an and have yet to read anything that supports the argument that gay Christians can continue to practice homosexuality and be saved by the grace of Jesus.
Those of you that read the Bible; know that Jesus said in the book of Matthew; chapter 5,verses 17-20:
17: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18: For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20: For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
All believers; especially the more scholarly, of whom I am NOT; i.e. Ministers, Rabbis, Reverends, Imams, et al, MUST make it known throughout the community of all believing folk that it is not OK to continue sinning of any kind, under the belief that the sinner will be saved by the grace bestowed upon Jesus.
Grace is for those that confess their sins and then try not to sin anymore.
Grace is not for you to continue sinning.
I don’t like the term gay Christian either.
Jesus was neither gay nor Christian; those of you who believe yourselves to be anointed, i.e. Christian or like Jesus the Christ; the reference to Christians that are gay is not true.
No Scripture read by me makes any reference to followers of Jesus practicing homosexuality or any other sin.
When someone in the gay community can show and prove any Scripture that God says that the practice of homosexuality or any other sin is OK, then I will accept their lifestyle.

By atheists on the board, that we Christians think Christmas Day is actually Christs birthday, I wanted to give everyone a chance to let us know what they think.

Christmas, however is was founded is merely our "Anniversary" Date for marking the birth of Christ, right?

Are there any Christian here that believe that is the actual day?

This is the poem I wrote for Christmas this year.
Jesus Lives in me
I do not need the Christmas light. I do not need the hollly bright.
Don't need to wait to buy a gift, or buy a Christmas tree.
Instead of lights upon a tree, I'll let Him shine His light in me.
Do all I can for all I meet. I'll be a candle burning bright,
Pointing to the One True Light, every day and every night,
Jesus lives in me.
Such joy He gives, such love and joy and peace!
Every time He fills my heart, I'll let it overflow.
I want to whole world to know, what Jesus means to me.
He is a candle shining bright. He is the One True Light.
He's everything to me.
It matters not what day He's born He lives within my heart.
Ever and always, every day,
Jesus lives in me.
He is a glowing fire. He is a candle burning bright.
I'll celebrate Him every day.
I'll celebrate along the way.
Jesus lives in me.

Too many non-Muslims in the USA have the wrong idea and it would help if we understood the full meaning. If you can quote the Koran, this might help, too. But if you can be brief, more people are likely to read it. Thanks

I recently saw a question that stated that Mithras (or whoever) was really born on Dec 25. The tone of the question was directed at how we Christians are wrong to celebrate Christmas on the day that is suspected to be the birthday of a diety that vanished centuries ago.

However, how can you know that you're right? The modern calander that we use was created in 1582 by Pope Gregory IX (or some number) who reformed the Julian calender, which in itself was not the original calander. Days and months have been moved and added for centuries until this point. So, no holiday is actually celebrated on it's original day (yes, not even Christmas and Easter).

So, I ask those who think that Mithras was born on the 25th. HOw do you know or is this just another smug attempt to boo Christians for our beliefs? The days have been moved around enough that you can have it completly wrong. For all you know, he was really born in the spring too.
