That levitates, eats only solid gold and spits out diamonds.

Do you believe me? No of course not, only a terminally stupid person would.

You'd want to see proof wouldn't you? You'd, at the very least, want to see one of these diamonds, but that still isn't proof is it?

It's just a small bit of evidence that proves nothing.

You'd want to see the squirrel, you'd make sure the blue was natural and not dye.
You'd check for wires when he was levitating.

See where I'm going with this?
You have as much proof of god as I do for this magic squirrel of mine.
Face facts, god is, like my squirrel, imaginary.

if prayer works why dont christians pray for peace? or pray for starvation to end, or pray for homeless people to be sheltered? why not pray for people who have lost limbs to grow them back? why do you only pray for things that can happen naturally and then claim god did it, yet u wont pray for things that cant happen in nature. doesnt this seem as though u lack faith?

I can't help feeling we've helped an awful lot of people to find out that Christmas is a Pagan festival. Now they're asking about Easter (Pagan again).

And they keep asking about evolution so one or two of them must have picked up that it is not about chance. Some might even have an idea what is meant by allele frequencies.

And I think those who had never encountered an atheist have learned that we don't ALL eat babies.

What do you think?

Incidentally, I'm not one of these people who says "If you aren't an xxxxxx please don't answer this question!!!!" - anyone with an opinion is free to express it.

What is the difference, if any, in the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven?

Please recommend any Bible references that may be helpful. Thank you and may God bless you.

My guidance counselor gave me a website to research careers but there is absolutely nothing on this site about Theology, Religion or anything like that. I've also looked on the Mount Mary College website (that's where I want to go) but they don't give a lot of information. Is there any specific thing (volunteer, leadership workshop, classes in highschool that helped you, etc.) I can do to prepare myself for this major?

Jesus' disciples saw Jesus rise from the dead, therefore they didn't have faith that he was risen...they knew it. Therefore is faith more important than truth?

Since the USA was founded on Judaeo-Christian values and tradition, I was wondering that Bible verses the founders looked to in writing the Bill of Rights, and specifically, what book of the Bible includes a template for the Establishment Claus.

KJV only please.

i mean origionally the world was supposed to end in the year 1000 then in the 1840s and now the second millenium. well weve been here 6 years and i havnt seen satin yet, i mean wasnt he supposed to have a 7 year reign of terror with a bunch of plagues and stuff killing us off... shouldnt we be down to like half of our population by now? or is everything in the bible and everything jesus said supposed to be taken literally except for (in my opinion, the most important fact) when the world is gonna end? yeah so its all literal except for that... i get it now: we take everything literal until its proven false then we change it and say that it was just symbolic. i guess thats a good way of thinking.

then why didn't adam just say no? He must have been just as corrupting in nature as Eve to take the apple? So really men and women are as bad as each other? whats your opinion? do you believe in the Eden thing? or is it just another way for some men to justify hating women? Please do not take anything said here personally it really is just a question. thanks

Why don't Christians understand the principles this country was founded on? Freedom... of speech, religion, etc. If they don't like our laws, they should leave! For example: a)The Target boycott for deciding last year to refer to Christmas as "The Holidays" and not using the word "Christmas" Well, there are people of many different religions in this country. Why don't Christian's understand this? b)Christians' hate for gays and policy against gay marriage. When there are studies showing that homosexuality is possibily genetic, why would Christians be against somebody because of something that they cannot control? That would be like being against black people... oh yeah... Some Christians do that too. c)Christians believe that the laws of this nation should be based on their beliefs. Someone please tell me why Christians don't understand the Constitution and notion of freedom!

Do you think it's a message worthy of contemplation?

Twas the night Jesus came and all through the house, not a person was praying, not one in the house.. The Bible was left on the shelf without care, for no one thought Jesus would come there.. The children were dressing to crawl into bed, not once ever kneeling or bowing their head.. And Mom in the rocking chair with babe on her lap, was watching the Late Show as I took a nap.. When out of the east there rose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.. Away to the window I flew like a flash, tore open the shutters and lifted the sash.. When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but Angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.. The light of His face made me cover my head... was Jesus returning just like He'd said.. And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth, I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.. In the Book of Life which he held in his hand, was written the name of every saved man.. He spoke not a word as he searched for my name, when He said "it's not here" My head hung in shame.. The people whose names had been written with love, He gathered to take to his Father above.. With those who were ready He rose without sound, while all of the others were left standing around... I fell to my knees but it was too late, I'd waited too long and thus sealed my fate. I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight, Oh, if only I'd known that this was the night.... In the words of this poem the meaning is clear the coming of Jesus is now drawing near... There's only one life and when comes the last call, We'll find out that the Bible was true after all...
