i mean origionally the world was supposed to end in the year 1000 then in the 1840s and now the second millenium. well weve been here 6 years and i havnt seen satin yet, i mean wasnt he supposed to have a 7 year reign of terror with a bunch of plagues and stuff killing us off... shouldnt we be down to like half of our population by now? or is everything in the bible and everything jesus said supposed to be taken literally except for (in my opinion, the most important fact) when the world is gonna end? yeah so its all literal except for that... i get it now: we take everything literal until its proven false then we change it and say that it was just symbolic. i guess thats a good way of thinking.

The reason why many Christians in different times mistakenly thought they were in the "end times" is because they failed to consider the entirety of Biblical prophecy. For example, folks living during WWI and WWII who thought they were about to be Raptured didn't understand that Israel had to be reborn FIRST. Jesus explained this in the short parable of the fig tree, but many folks ignored this.

However, we're living in another day. Bible prophecy is coming true all around us. Israel is restored; it now has more Jews living there than are in any other country for the first time in almost 2,000 years; there are "wars and rumors of wars," earthquakes, plagues, signs in the heavens; and Russia and Iran have formed an alliance and will attack Israel soon. ALL of these things have been prophesied in the Bible. This last prophecy I named may be found at Ezekiel 38 and 39. You can confirm it for yourself at www.biblegateway.com . Notice God tells us this will happen in the "latter days" (end times). It's only a matter of time before the Tribulation starts.

Are you ready?

Peace.

If anyone tells you they know when the world will end is a false prophet. No one knows when the 2ND coming of Christ will happen. By, the way the world will not end, when Christ returns He sets up a kingdom on earth. Christians don't sit looking to the sky for the 2nd coming we go on living and working like everyone else with the except that we have this hope.

Ok, but now think about the bible where it says that only GOD knows when the world will end... It's the truth.
People, things will have to get much worse than this before the rapture. Things right now are paradise compared to the way they're going to be. So really it may be quite some time, but trust me, it's GONNA HAPPEN!!! It just may take a while.

Even if I was atheist, I wouldn't kill or anything like that, not because of my faith (theortically here I'm an atheist) but because I couldn't bear to take someone's life. That's just wrong. Even athiests agree that there are right and wrong things. Sides, I would go to jail... There's a Scripture about ( I don't remeber word for word, but the message) if you believe in Jesus and that message, yet you go on sinning, there is nothing to pay for your sins! Jesus died for my sins, yes. But I have to ask to be forgiven and mean it before I am. Most non- catholic christians are born again believers. That means we turn from our sin and live our life for God's glory. We will sin, because we are human. Bottom line, like Jesus said, "If you love me you will obey my commands" I love this verse becaue it shows that when you love Jesus, doing His will and what's right just comes natural, and you know and feel guilty otherwise.

2 Peter 3:4-7
and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

The way it is stated in the book of revelations is that a Euopean will come up with a way for world peace, then through something like the united nations he will develop a one world government. then there will be a burst in the economy, then they plagues and stuff will happen.

Jesus told his disciples when they asked when he would return he said "No one knows but the father" Only God knows when all this will transpire

The Bible never gives a date for the end of the world.

Eternity... when did we admit we were wrong..

If they were real christians they wouldn't have said they know when it is.

"For no man, or angel, or even the Christ knows the hour or day of the Second Comming"

That doesn't mean it's soon... considering about 400 prophesies from Isaiah, John, and others have been fulfilled in the last few years.

Why don't you check God's word instead of other people's varying opinions?

No man knoweth the day or the hour. The wisdom of man is foolishness to G-d. It is in His hands....but I will say this. No hope until the temple in Jerusalem is rebuilt and all tribes of Israel return to Israel. Christians often only look at NT prophesy, but OT must be fulfilled as well.

If the end of the world doesn't happen, it's true Christians can say they were wrong. But if Jesus does come back and the rapture occurs, will the un-believers be able to say they were wrong?
