can this story be taken as a historical/literal truth? as a christian myself i dont believe so. The meaning of this story is linked to the baptism of christians in the new testament.

do christians agree with me? the same could be said of the flood during noah's time. when we look beyond the literal words of such stories dont you think that we get the real meaning of the bible?

Just watched BBC news, "All religious preachers must now preach only in English"!!! Where does the goverment get this advice from? If I am Muslim I pray to God in Arabic (my God is the same God as your God, there is only one God)
If I am Welsh UK (Christian Welsh) my preacher speaks only Welsh, he and I are very proud of our heratage. and you can stick your English right up where the sun doesnt shine!
Or perhaps you didnt mean Welsh or Galic?
Welsh Nationalists do still exsist if you think you have problems with Islam watch your English a55es.

I heard, dont know if its true, that there is a hugh sun-storm (dont know if this is the right word or not) on the sun, and that in 2012 the storm will reach its climax, and we will feel it here on earth. Apearently it will cause havoc here on eaerth. I read that there are organisations in the world building bunkers so that they can hide from the heat. What do you think?

I have my heart pleading for the oppressed(those who are poor and do not have proper clothing to cover this winter season)think of thosesuffering in places where there is a war going on.between evil and unjust.Can we getup from our slumber, bring happyness to those sad faces.while we are enough and are wasting our food and spending money on unwanted luxuries in life.Can we let go some of those good things for a good reason

The Gospels of Matthew and Luke give us a nightmare they call a dream in which Joseph and an Angel are pulled out of a hat to tarnish the name of the mother of the Christ and hint that she was guilty of adultery with child of other than her phantom-husband, Joseph, only to complete the Hoax of the Crucifixion by transferring the name that was given to the two thieves, "Jesus", on to the innocent Christ child.

For those who await the second coming of "Jesus", you are hereby warned that the two thieves were the only persons to be crucified in the Bible by that name.

The Bible wholly agrees with the Quran that the Christ was not crucified and you can check your Bible with The Age Of Reason for evidence of the great escape from crucifixion and the Hoax of Christian dreams.

"Born Again" means that God has changed your heart and that you were guided by God to do his will and that you were baptisted. (Not that baptism alone is the only thing that saves. One of the thief's on the cross was saved immediately when Jesus ascended into heaven.)

If so why did you leave? Give your reasons why you left behind your Christian faith? Was it because of people, your questions weren't answered, the church you were attending as a whole, the church didn't answer your questions, you started to doubt and question things more, etc. What was your reason and if so describe that in full detail only if you were "Born Again".

Also if you did leave did you ever decide to come back and if so why did you come back? Only real honest answers please. Not ones who have said they went to church and that's all there was to it. Not looking for a answers by some who was only christian by name only or who are known by any other faith group. Only if you were truly "Born Again"

Why do they have an opinion about everything and they just always quote the bible, even in topics where religion doesn´t have nothing to do? I mean, I have found many q&a´s with unfundamented religious answers.. why do they just say unappliable, unfundamented things all the time?

Muhammad never understood the Trinity (Father / Son / Holy Spirit):
Sura 116, 4:171, 5:73-75, Muhammad mistakenly thought the Christian Trinity was 3 gods: the Father, the Mother (Mary), and the Son (Jesus). This is based on Muhammad's own misunderstanding seen in Sura 5:119. Also, in the last of all Suras we read: O Jesus, Son of Mary, hast thou said unto mankind 'Take me and my mother as two Gods beside God? ' He shall say: 'Glory be unto Thee! it is not for me to say that which I know to be not the truth.' There is no way for Muslims today to escape the fact that the Koran indeed contains this major theological blunder. The Bible, shows that there is a Trinity (Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7).

I am having a very difficult time at work. As a security we door greeters were instructed to check outgoing bags ( lunch and purchases)There is a fellow employee who thinks I have it in for her. She has been making things hard for me. I am so intimidated by her. I am afriad to go to work.
I haven't talked to/about her since the day before thanksgiving. I have to work friday....and I wish I could be anywhere else but there w/ her. PLease Help me ........

Suppose you are someone you have everything including immortality and free will except that you have zero knowledge.

My question is: do you have any use of free will when it is actually prompted by choices on knowledge which you have none? Are there any factor that may let you exercise free will?
