It seems like the vast majority of posted questions are either not serious questions or are questions to provoke an argument. If you post questions, how often are you looking for a serious answer?

We all believe in the Ten Commandments and yet people in every religion has told lies which has political motives. Of course, lies come from Satan, the great deceiver. So, why don't we chastise those who spread the lies?

"You say it is difficult to walk the path of Christ, to follow the teachings of the Buddha, to hold the light of Krishna, to be a Master. Yet I tell you this: It is far more difficult to deny who you are than to accept it."

Quote from Neale Donald Walsch.

Do you suppose that all beliefs have a place and a purpose, and an equal right to be part of the human race and to be treated equally and with respect?

7 Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. 8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; [2] happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. 9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. can someone debate me here.

i think that the story of s&g is severly damaging to the credibilty of the bible because it would seem unjust to for god to kill two cities of people because of that particular sin.

it seems that one way to argue against that is to try to highlight that it was not just that one sin they had committed as a whole, but others sin in combination, and so forth.

to which I say that the bible just too clearly presents homosexuality as the most dire sin in the story. I'm not sure, but i think that the bible described it as (paraphrasing) "homosexuality and other wickedness"
it presents it as the thing these people did that was most unpleasing to god.

I think it is a stretch to rationalize that it was the other sins that made god actions morally just.

what do y'all think?

I've heard it said this is one reason for its eternal existence. An eternal reminder of the awfulness of sin to all future heavenly inhabitants, of what sin, rebellion, and rejection of God causes.

mental illnesses? Why are people more depressed & schizophrenic? Why are we seeing bi-polar disorders & malfunctioning thyroids, osteoperosis, acid reflux, Chron's disease, Alzheimers, anxiety attacks, narcolepsy, as well as an increase in autism & ADHD in our children? Why is our cancer rate climbing? Why is AIDS wiping out so many people? Why do we have thousands of new medications on the market each year to combat the newest & latest malfunction of our bodies and/or our brains?

It seems to me like we are degenerating rather than evolving.

Your thoughts?

In several Japanese movies, I've seen family members go to the grave of their deceased and they appear to be praying, but I wondered are they actually praying or in some way trying to connect with their loved one? Thanks!
