It gives them comfort.

Why would anyone believe in Christianity necessarily? It all has to do with what you have faith in and what makes sense to you. Every culture and person seems to have a slightly different view of their religion and how it operates. Modern witches simply work the same way they have rituals, traditions, faiths, guidelines, and congregations just like any other religion or belief. However a person gets their answers and whatever faith makes them comfortable I'm not one to argue. It's about getting through life in one piece, how ever you are able to do that preferably while being a good person I can't fault you or anyone else.

I'm a Tianic Priest and your walking in my grove, thank you for asking.
Witches, wise women, crones and green women are healers. They do believe in Mother earth and her offerings.
They seek to know instead of letting someone throw words at them.
Witchcraft is the healing of spirit soul and body. The healing of all living creatures because all living creatures are a part of each other.
It is ritual, the use and direction of natural energies.
As to why someone would believe.
All things in Witchcraft can be touched. It can be felt, smelled tasted, heard and understood. All things done with the craft have rewards that are just and immediate. Those who do good for others without want of reward or justification are rewarded for the freedom of their gift to others. Those who use the craft for gain and selfish purpose suffer three fold for the pittances they gain.
Those who do evil with malice and cruel intent are rewarded three fold with evil and malice and cruelty.
Witches learn quickly that they are not forgiven for misdeeds. They learn that they must answer for every wrong they do and must take responsibility for each and every action.
Witches know what fault is and where it lies.
Witches love the earth and do all they can to keep it healthy.
Witches love one another with free hearts and spirits. They do not cast judgment or direct harm on any other faith or any other person. They know beyond doubt that there is a debt they will pay and soon for being so petty.
I have answered your question as honestly as I can.
En Tis Blethec. Blessed be. May your path be free of fear and may all hands be open to you as you walk upon it.
An Edited note for those that would believe that Witches are in league with the devil.
The devil, satan, lucifer or old nick belongs only to you who believe in the One God. He/it has nothing to do with Witches witchcraft or earth based faiths. I would truly be Christian If I were a Satan worshiper. I'm sorry as are we all but Satan belongs to you.

Witchcraft.. use of magick..
Wicca - Traditional Religion that uses Witchcraft.
This is the old Religion, its been noted and documented in and around the time of the cave man days.
So its been around for quiet some time.. even before Christianity.
Christianity has taken over alot of the sites and seasons celebrations pagans and wiccans use, just they have changed the names.
I believe in energy and that energy is moved around this universe.
How you use that energy can sometimes be called magick.
Just for interest sake.

Because it's what they feel is right for them. Everyone has the right to believe what they want and to chose whatever that belief will be. I don't question why Christians believe in Chrisitanity. I understand what it is and I know that Christians wouldn't be Christians if it didn't feel right for them. The same goes for me. I'm a Wiccan and I know that it's right for me. If it wasn't I wouldn't believe in it or practice it.

They refuse to believe the truth of the Bible and God's power, and pursue something that puts them in the position of power. Witchcraft is usually used to inflict unhappiness or evil on someone's life. Their power is only effective against a person without God in their life. It is being in league with the devil.
