As much debating that goes on here I thought of a few interesting questions. So...

1. Religious or non-religious, not debating on who is right or wrong; are you glad that there are other religions/non-religions then your own? Why or why not?

2. Do you think having other religions/non-religions around helps to make your beliefs stronger? Mostly looking at the fact that debating makes a person look at their beliefs harder to defend it?

3. If your religious or non-religious beliefs were the only one what would be the pros and/or cons of that?

Real peace will arise spontaneously
When your mind becomes free
Of attachments,
When you know that the objects of the world
Can never give you what you really want.

If Jesus had a bicycle, would it not have a big ol' gay flowery basket and a ring ring bell? All signs point to this being so.

i think one of the real reasons that christians can't let themselves believe that homosexuality is ok, something that you are born with,
is not just that the bible in one way or another frowns upon it, but really more because the bible says that god destroyed and killed two entire cities of people for being homosexual.

It's like they stretch their ability to morally reason the issue because it would be so damaging to the rationality and credibility of believing in the bible at all.

do you think that if (or when) the whole homosexuality issue is comprimised,
that it could severely dammage christianity as a whole?

I don't necessarily want christianity to die completely,
i mean, it does serve certain functions, and in certain situations even false hope is still pure hope.
i just wondered if others thought it would have an immense effect

We are told if a brother is in need to not be concerned but to give without question> Could you would you do it? I have! Many times.

Some would say I just lost my blessing by telling you this. Since you dont know my real name I know this not to be true for I am no pharisee proclaiming my good deeds or parading myself to you.

Did Paul lose his blessings when he told everyone he knew poverty and rich, that he had been beaten and flogged for the sake of christ. /no. For like me ego is not present.

A Sunday School teacher of pre-schoolers was concerned that his students might be a little confused about Jesus because of the Christmas season emphasis on His birth.

He wanted to make sure they understood that the birth of Jesus occurred a long time ago, that he grew up, etc.
So he asked his class, "Where is Jesus today?"

Steven raised his hand and said, "He's in heaven."
Mary was called on and answered, "He's in my heart."

Little Johnny, waving his hand furiously, blurts out -
"I know! I know! He's in our bathroom!!!"

The whole class got very quiet, looked at the teacher, and waited for a response. The teacher was completely at a loss for a few very long seconds. He finally gathered his wits and asked Little Johnny how he knew this.

And Little Johnny said, "Well...every morning, my father gets up,
bangs on the bathroom door, and yells -
'Jesus Christ, are you still in there!?'!"

It has been said that when life makes no sense, when moments of confusion shred our soul, there are three paths we can take: to abandon any claim to Christian belief and search for emmediate relief and happiness; to run ffrom confusion as a woodsman would flee from a hungry bear; or to cling to God with disciplined tenacity, reminding ourselves of who He is, even though our struggle with confusion continues unabated.
So... people, share your opinions.

RO 4:16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring--not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed--the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.

Just curious... how many people here were protestant and converted to the Catholic Church? What converted you?

I am a convert myself; the Blessed Sacrament of our dear Lord, the Holy Eucharist, is what converted me.

God bless all of you in advance, and keep the Faith.
