I guess that would be an appropriate analogy.

Hair style, I suppose. The lack of hair could be considered a hair style.
True Atheism is not a religion. It's the lack of one. But, here on R&S, we get a lot of Atheistic zealots who preach Atheism to the point that it might as well be a religion.
But I would call these guys " anti-religious " rather than Atheist. An atheist would consider the whole thing a waste of time. It's like arguing about the easter bunny to them.
Best wishes.

The almighty Google says:
Definitions of atheism on the Web:
the doctrine or belief that there is no God
Religion is a belief system. If you have a belief that there is no God - or, in the case of Agnostics, that there MIGHT be a God, but you're not sure which one - then you still have a belief system. It might not be a common or popular one, but it's still a system.
Considering that there is no way to prove any of the various Dieties existence(s), how can you say that believing that there is not a God is not a Religion?
From Wikipedia:
Religion—sometimes used interchangeably with faith or belief system—is commonly defined as belief concerning the supernatural, sacred, or divine, and the moral codes, practices and institutions associated with such belief. In its broadest sense some have defined it as the sum total of answers given to explain humankind's relationship with the universe. In the course of the development of religion, it has taken a huge number of forms in various cultures and individuals.

Religion is simply a belief or idea system which groups of people tend to gather around for support -- much like fish school.
Any shared human belief system (as evidenced by responses or "schooling" here) can be labeled and viewed as religious. To limit analysis to formal religions is to place serious limitations on the understanding of human thought and activity.
In short, Atheism or anti-theism, can and should be viewed as just another variety of religious experience.

Yeah definitely right. Somehow calling Atheism is as absurd as calling Bald and hair color. They just don't fit do they. Like square pegs in round holes.

I never thought of it like that but, yes, it is.
The answer can be easily understood by knowing the exact definition of “religion” in which Barton gives the original 1828 Webster’s meaning of the word:
RELIGION. Includes a belief in the being and perfection’s of God, in the revelation of his will to man, and in man’s obligation to obey his commands, in a state of reward and punishment, and in man’s accountableness to God; and also true godliness or piety of life, with the practice of all moral duties... the practice of moral duties without a belief in a divine lawgiver, and without reference to his will or commands, is not religion. (30)
|The Supreme Court (lol) declared atheism is a religion. This definition of a true religion makes five distinctions that would totally destroy the present day understanding of the First Amendment. Without ALL 5 DISTINCTIONS IN THE DEFINITION OF RELIGION THERE IS NO "ESTABLISHMENT" OF A RELIGION ! ! !

Seeing how the definition of religion is:
a. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe.
b. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship.
Then yes. Atheism can't denounce others' Gods and claim to be a religious organization too.

haha, nice analogy. I think it is funny that the word Atheist has to exist. For example, I am not an astronomer, yet I don't classify that I am "not an astronomer". Are there anti-doctors, antipolicemen?

Yes. I have nothing against them. It is fine to offer an opinion. They are right to say that religion shouldn't be forced on them. However, it is wrong to ban my right to enjoy the Christmas holidays for their sake. One woman who goes to my wife's art class told her that she was harassed by a woman offended by Christmas decorations. The lady's job involved interior decoration for businesses.
