Suppose you are someone you have everything including immortality and free will except that you have zero knowledge.

My question is: do you have any use of free will when it is actually prompted by choices on knowledge which you have none? Are there any factor that may let you exercise free will?

One- There can be no free will without absolute knowledge or wisdom

two - Our free will is not a free will at all. We select one of the options presented to us by nature depending upon our environments, our mental/physical capabilities, or our karma.

Selecting one of the pre-designed options is what is called free will by human beings

Only the absolute Consciousness (god) can have a free will

The use of free will is accompanied by knowledge.

Therefore, an experienced farmer knows when and where to plant seed, but there still might be some uncertainty about how things will develop.

However, only God, “the King of eternity” has accurate knowledge to foresee precisely when and where he should act to carry out his purpose.—1 Timothy 1:17.

To answer honestly, it would be entirely impossible to have absolutely zero knowledge. Somehow you will always have some kind of knowledge (how to walk, how to talk, how to use the bathroom), otherwise you would pretty much be a vegtable. Knowledge is completely different from intelligence.

Actually, the question isn't hypothetical.

You just described Adam and Eve before the fall. And the answer to, "Is there any factor that may let you exercise free will?" is a resounding YES.

As a Christian I believe that Satan is more than happy to introduce new "information" all the time...to confuse us....to cause doubts...half-truths which tempt us to defy God.

Just my opinion.

this one actually has a relatively short answer imo.

you don't truly have free will unless you KNOW you have free will.

until you know you are capable of defiance... I don't think it counts.

personally I think this is why when a very young person first learns the word "no" they just keep saying it over and over somewhat nonsensically.... I think for that time they are mentally working through and grasping the concept of being capable of that defiance, even if they are incapable of actually APPLYING their defiance, at least they can have defiant intent.

in that sense its really a pretty awsome thing.

I think knowledge can give you both inmortality and free will. If you don´t know or understand the meaning of it, then you can´t apply it. I mean inmortality in terms of leaving a "mark" in the world, of course.
Knowledge is the key to everything.

An eternity of knowledge gaining would lead you to a life of free will.

ask someone who suffered from amnesia.
do they still have inherint beliefs and ways of living?

ah i think you asking about adam and eve!
of course adam and even had knowledge they just lived in a enclosed enviornment until satan tempted them and deceived EVE
even in the closed enviorment free from all evil there was knowledge and they had choices to make When Knowledge was obtained, then their environment increased and their knowledge to but so did their suffering and tribulation. but even in the increase of knowledge it is written that ADAM knew to keep the commandments of God and was faithful all his days,so were a few of his sons. but most of the children of adam Loved satan more

IF YOU HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE:
James 1:5-----If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him,
vs.6-----But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavereth is like a wave ofthe sea driven with the wind and tossed,
vs.7-----For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
vs.8 A DOUBLE MINDED MAN IS UNSTABLE IN ALL HIS WAYS.

NO you do not have any use of free will since you would be incapable of making any choices if you do not KNOW anything.

LOL! wow, this question is good, but it's very funny at the same time!!!

since you have no knowledge of anything whatsoever, i think the thought of exercising free will won't enter your mind. but would you really have free will if you have no knowledge at all?

hmmm... it's really impossible.
