If what you seek is love and healing and what you find is love and healing, how then can it be evil?

If you are constantly in touch with afterlife spirits and they bring you joy and tolerance with this sometimes cruel world, why are they labelled evil?

firstly I think what it sounds like your talking about is a form of mediumism and/or shamanistic type awareness. which to put it simply is beyond what the scope of most christians can fathom or deal with.

in the old testament there were rules in place, extremely broadly, especially in english translation, ruling against most of that sorta stuff. it did NOT say they were evil, per se, but merely that those who were god's people, were not permitted to take part in them.

my personal understanding of this is that these things can sometimes lead one away from God inadvertently, by accidentally losing touch with whos really in charge and how you treat the entitys in the chain of command.

its like if everyone is supposed to follow the general, and a soldier inadvertently becomes so loyal to their immediate supervisor, that they (intentionally or not) ignore the commands of their general, when they shouldn't be, when their loyalty is supposed to be to the general. follow the comparison?

with that in mind, many christians over-elaborate on the original laws, and declare such things evil out of ignorance.

which is funny, as many christians have the exact problem they are more or less trying to avoid, with their belief in Jesus.

The epilepsy is the Karma for people who were Mediums. They think they call up the Soul of the deceased, but what comes into them and speaks through them are the Legion of the dead person's Inner Demons. We all have inner demons and Soul.

Carl Gustav Jung demonstrated that we have 97% Subconscious(that contains our Inner Demons/multiple I's/the Ego/etc.) and 3% Conscience that is asleep. Of course those remembering their past lives or have clairvoyance, etc. they have more than 3% Consciousness(Soul). Jesus said: "With patience you will gain your Souls"->so we don't poses our Soul 100%.
