i donno what is soul and spirit defined in christianity but as per hinduism, the soul in us is not individual but eternal.

We have a circle of ego around this portion of soul and hence we become individal soul. This individuality develops tools for its experiences and these tools are sub-conscious, Mind and intelligence. Brain is a gross physical organ for the use of Mind.

On death, the brain and body decomposes, but the soul alongwith ego, subcons, mind and intelligence alongwith all resultant memories of the experiences (not gross memory)...leaves the body and reachs astral realms and take rest till a new body is prepared for this system.

So this is what hinduism tells...now you may match it with your ideas and see where they match.

Mind is another word for spirit. Yes, spirit survives physical death along with the soul. The soul and the spirit are inseparable.

Nope it all dies. Except I'm a donor... hopefully my soul will remain intact after I die and can be transplanted to someone in need of one. Like a Catholic.
