THE TRUTH IS:

The world is billions of years old. Read the original text of the Bible, Genesis 1:1 describes the creation, and the destruction of Earth, and science shows that it was caused by a meteor or comet.
Genesis 1:2 describes the re creation of Earth for the purpose of putting mankind on it.

Cmon the "Earth was void and without form." God does not make something empty, and improve on it. The Hebrew reads "AND THE EARTH WAS CAUSED TO BECOME A SHEET OF ICE WITHOUT LIGHT." And later in the King James texts it say " And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." in the Hebrew it reads " AND THE SPIRIT OF GOD RADIATED HEAT TO THE FROZEN WATERS." AND LATER THE HEBREW READS " AND GOD SEPARATED THE LAND FROM THE MELTED WATERS." Please people the Bible was not written in English, the Old Testament was written in Hebrew.

THANKS FOR THIS QUESTION.

Comets do not cause mutations. Mutations are typically the result of either copying mistakes during cell division, gene transfer (from viruses), or genetic damage due to radiation or oxidation.

Comets play no role in this. They do not emit radiation. They are simply passing blocks of frozen water from the Oort cloud.
