We do pray for peace, and health, and all that stuff. But prayer takes action too. You have to get off you good intentions and feed the hungry, and comfort the sick and lonely, and work for peace. God is not just some genie waiting to give us whatever we want. Praying for miracles is something that we do every day. I have seen miracles happen.

We do pray for peace, it's just that there are things that are meant to happen according to the creators plan so we can learn from it. And sometimes, things happen and stay that way because human chose it that way. The power of prayer is really powerfull if the result you are seeking will not only help or touch you but others as well.
If everything that we will pray for will be granted, then we will not learn from the mistake that we will make and will keep on doing it. Then we will not learn to appreciate the blessings of prayer because we will always get it anyway. Then people will not learn to share because we will always have what we need. And there are many more reasons why there prayers that cannot be answered.

To pray for peace as in world peace is pointless because there will be no world peace until Jesus returns. As far as the rest of the things you list some people do pray for these things. It is not a lack of prayer that keeps them from happening, but a lack of faith in God's ability to actually make it happen. Many people pray for all sorts of things while still doubting God, which basically cancels out there prayers.

First, dont be so prideful to say that you know what others pray for. There are millions who pray for world peace, and many other miraculous things. If you actually did some research on miracles, you would find that some do happend. The main idea behind prayer is not that it will happen if you pray, but if it is going to be allowed. You ask for it, and if it is suppose to happen, it will.
This might get you started on the: well, if God really were good, he would answer all of those prayers, and that this proves him bad.
The answer to that is no, God is more knowing than either you or I. He knows best and allows THAT to happen, unfortunatly, when it come to individual decisions, that is up to us. God will not interfere with free will.
Just remember many do pray for those things, and continue to. Don't be so presumtuous as to believe that out of more than a billion people no one prays for those!

Prayer works just fine. It's just, people have the free will to say no to answering God's call to those prayers. It's up to us to fix this world, but not all of us answer when God shows us what to do to help others. How many times have we turned our back on those in the streets asking for money? Or ignored the commercials on tv about the hungry in the world? We can help them, but we dont' and that's not God's fault but our own.

Hundreds of millions prayed for this god to stop Hitler before he caused 30+ million to die during WWII and he did NOTHING. A simple little blood clot would have done the trick, say in 1934, but NOOOOOO. If this god creature could turn a good woman into a pillar of salt for looking over her shoulder, why couldn't he answer the prayers to end evil. Either this god is heartless, powerless, both, or does not exist at all.

Prayer works, and we pray for Pace. we pray also for World Peace. we have prayed for a long time for the end of Communism, and the prayers were answered. We pray according to God's word and in the Name of Jesus as we are thought from the Bible. God answers in His time, With our finite minds we will not understand the mind of God. God also answers through medicine. And indeed we need to have faith, in God. Our God is a God of miracles and we need to trust in Him. May you have a blessed Christmas

God sees your heart and wants you to walk in line with his word. If your prayers are self seeking and selfish then they will not be awnsered. Christians can pray for peace but too many people allow Satin a hold in their lives that it gives Satin Power. Jesus will return one day and He has already beaten satin at calvery once, and given us the authority over satin. There is no lack of Faith, Just Lack of Knowledge - God Bless -

Prayer works, if you believe, you will receive ( book of Matthews, Luke in bible). But it also has to do with the "motives"of your heart and why you want that prayer answered? God knows best and he knows why we have all different types of things. You ever seen that sign that says God answers prayers: He says no, yes, No way!"... Don't forget that we lost the "world" with Adam and Eve; Jesus came back so that we can have life through him (to repair some damage of connection Adam and Eve did), so when we pray, we always end the prayer "In Jesus Name" because he advocates for us... in behalf of us to God. We pray through Christ. Sometimes, God lets things happen to get our attention; for example; I was very sick at one time and could not figure out why... I had a busy life, work, etc.. staying home made me spend more time with God and the bible.. I grew to a new spiritual level and began to see Gods new work in my life and began to see how God was able to use me for his kingdom, including "spiritual warfare" through prayer. I would recommend some readings to you... see if it helps. The best understanding is your own self researching..... Have a blessful day..
