The Bible is silent. Personally, I am an organ donor, and think it's a wonderful idea. If someone could use my eyes, for example, to see the wonders around us for the first time ever in their life, I see nothing wrong with it. My body is already deceased, so I don't think God would mind.

The Bible does not state anywhere that you cannot donate organs after death. The idea of organ transplantation did not arise for hundreds of years after the Bible was written. The only thing in the Bible that is taken as a ban on this type of thing is a quote taken out of context by the Jehovahs Witnesses stating that the blood contains part of the soul, that is why they will not except blood transfusions. But at the time of the Bible being written these medical procedures were not even imagined possible no comment was made in the Bible about them

The Bible says nothing about donating organs because the concept did not exist when the writers of the books of the Bible lived. But, the Bible teaches us to do everything we can to help our fellow man. There is a story of a man who owned one cloak. And another who owned none. So they took turns wearing the cloak. We must share what little we have with the less fortunate. And if you are dead...why do you need that organ? It will just rot in your grave. Why not let that organ help someone else live? Why not donate a cornea so that a blind man can see? Isn't that what the Bible teaches us? That Christ walked among men - raised Lazersous from the grave- Made the blind see.... If you donate a heart at the moment of your death and it saves a life- have you not done just what Christ did- helped another to live? Organ donation is your Christian Duty. Most American Churches, Synagogs and Mosques are coming onboard with this outlook. Talk to your minister of faith.

The Bible doesn't say anything about donating organs, because organ donation wasn't even thought of then (unless you are a creation literalist, then Adam donated a rib to Eve). Certain psuedo-Christian cults speak about organ donation, and they warp scripture to try and fit, but the bible doesn't reaaly cover it. However, the Bible doesn mention that we lose ownership of every physical possession upon death, which would seem to include our bodies, so organ donating seems like a good thing to do, considering how many differet organs can be harvested therefore saving lives or making them easier.

I certainly hope nothing in the Bible is against organ donation. One of my dearest friends is only alive because he received a liver transplant some time ago, and I'd hate to think that people aren't checking off the box on their driver's license based on an obscure Biblical passage (or any other religious passage).

The message is to love your neighbour as yourself, do good to them that hate you, etc.
So it would seem that in the spirit of showing love, organ donation would be a good thing.

I don't think the Bible addressed that issue specifically. I doubt they were doing many organ transplants 2000 years ago.
