I do pray for that. I also pray that Osama B will find Jesus and change his heart and mind.
Maybe my prayers haven't been answered yet or maybe the answer is no.
I'm also praying for forgiveness and reconciliation in Sudan, Palestine and Israel and every conflict I see on the news.
I hope that more Christians see this post and join in my prayers. The bible says they are stronger when more than one agree.
Jesus is the Great Reconciler after all.

A Christian praying for world peace should expect his prayers to be denied. They are praying contrary to God's will. He has already told us that world peace will not come until the Messiah brings it at the edge of a sword: Shalom Moshiach (or Pax Christus). -yk

World peace is not one of the objectives of Christianity. We are told to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, but not for world peace. It just isn't going to happen. That is why Christ came to take His people out of this world because there never will be peace here.
1 Thess 5:3 While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.

At my family's Catholic Church, my friends Lutherin Youth Group and a plethora of other Christian demoninations that I atteneded, peace in the world has always been a key subject in prayers.
Most likely is that we can pray all we want and the Gods will help us, but in reality only we can fully make the change.
The divine gives us the power to choose, and it is up to us to make the final decision.

They always pray for peace but there are so many war lords in their countries that the poor christians don't stand a chance except to pray and have faith. Sometimes their faith waivers to the point that they forget to pray.

We do pray for world peace, and God will answer prayer in his time, not ours. He may not come when we want him, but he's always on time.

I only pray for the peace of Jerusalem. (Psalm 122:6)
I know that world peace will not come until the antichrist reveals himself, and then a false peace of 3.5 years will occur. Then he will break his promise, and engage in war.
True peace only comes when Christ returns.

Of course they do, but God doesn't answer all our prayers the way we would like Him to answer them. He has a plan for each and everyone of us, and for the world.
