He said he's happy being ordinary and not bothering anyone but I tell him it will be much more exciting if he becomes a Wiccan or Druid in this Judeo Christian culture. I want him to get the same level of attention that I get by adopting a really cool religion that will give him the same kind of identity and specialness I was seeking. I tried chopping up bat wings and performing a Circle of Circulariness but it's not working.

I had to write a term paper discussing wether Communism should be more of a political system or a religion. As a result, I answered that it was more of a political issue because it controls the lifestyle of people and the economics. But later on...I realized that I was wrong. It could also be considered as a religion. Communism states that there is no God and good is only made from human hands. Mao who was one of the communist revolutionnary killed more or less 1000 monks. Communism was a strong belief. They believed that there was no god. They also did rituals such as reciting stuff about antigods, Marxism. Soo far, what is a religion? religion does not only imply an existence of god. In my opinion, a religion is made from a strong belief into something, contains many followers, and rituals. What do you think? What i want is opinions and not anecdotes from holy book plz.

I'm not really looking for hard rock, but classic old and new songs and hymns to listen to. Prefer female or mix of male and female voices.

UFOs, JFK and 9/11 conspiracies, Bigfoot, Loch Ness, Bermuda Triangle, Ghosts, ESP, Lucid dreaming, Lucky rabbit's foot or shoes or shirts etc, 4 leaf clover, Dreamcatchers, wishbones, black cats, coins in fountains and wells, lottery numbers, colors, solstice and equinox, Mother Nature, numerology, multiple personality, twin empathy, Cults, people waiting on the Mother Ship to return, good luck and bad luck, fate, astrology/zodiac, voodoo, horoscopes, palm reading, tarot, runes, tea leaves, omens and coincidences, etc etc but NOT the bible?

Atheists tell us how smart we are as a race and how far we have come; in essence that we have proven there is no God(s). So why believe in ANYTHING? What IS that within us that makes people want to believe in SOMETHING, just not God and the Bible?

It's a great question and I'm sorry I don't know who said it first.

Before you answer with, "it wasn't dangerous until Adam & Eve were thrown out of paradise." keep in mind that PLATECTONICS, which is responsible for earthquakes and volcanoes, has been going on for BILLIONS of years. This obviously predates the biblical story of Adam & Eve... unless we are to believe that Eden wasn't on planet earth!

Why wouldn't an almighty god who can do anything, and who so LOVES his children, create a reasonably STABLE planet for us to live on? Some volcanoes have erupted so catastrophically, they have thrown off the entire planet's photosynthesis cycle for years at a time. What sin merits a world-wide famine that lasts for years? What moral lesson does a ten year old child learn from this?

Earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornadoes, not to mention ICE AGES, kill hundreds of millions of innocent people every century, and have been doing so since before recorded history, all the way back to our planets very beginning.

This is the work of a loving god?

Christians love to talk about how loving, dutiful and compassionate they are, yet I have yet to meet ONE who does not practice hypocrisy to the highest degree. I'm not talking about sinning. I'm talking about "selective morality”. What Christians like in the Bible, they cling to and shove down other’s throats; what they don’t like, they ignore vehemently The most frequent one I notice is Christian attempts to put prayer into schools as it goes completely against the teaching of Christ.

According to the Bible, Jesus said prayer should be a private affair devoid of public display: "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room (or closet.) and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret..." Matthew 6:5-6

Have you noticed any other instances?

6 billion tiny little human beings, living on a tiny little rock in an enormous universe that exists of probably billions and billions more of those little rocks.....Isn't it highly amusing to see how those 6 billion tiny little human beings fight over what or who created that universe?

You think that somewhere on a grain of sand, at some enormous beach in the Pacific, there are 6 billion bacterias fighting over what or who created that beach?
