You dont have to promote a religion, the soul will find its own way to truth, the whole therapy in the west is based on hinduism, it is promoting the growth of the self, all relaxation therapies are based on awareness which is again based on hinduism, Yoga is prescribed in many areas as a way to good health, vegetarianism is catching up, people are against war, Ahimsa is practiced by many people, when something is good, its fragrance reaches far and wide, the eastern religions are never promoted, just leave it, its reached everyones attention and it is attracting many people. Hinduism is bliss and its off shoots, sikhism, buddhism, Jainism are all wonderful religions of the east. Other religions are showled down the throat. A good soul will search for truth, and the truth is within our soul and Namasthe is a way of greeting the other, meaning "i honor the light in you"...some of the beautiful things are found in the eastern religions.
Gods can never be on sale!

It depends what you mean by promote. I am Christian, but I would never judge someone or tell them they are going to hell. I love everyone and try to treat everyone like I want to be treated. I hope people can see that I am a good person and if that promotes what I believe in that is fine, but I am not going to try to make a believer out of everyone.

Everyone whould have the right to promote their own religion in a peaceful and unoffending way. I can't get why the Muslims don't want us Christians to preach in their countries if they TRULY believe that their God will crush us to dust.

Well, you have to at least tell about your religion or no one will ever know about it. In Christianity we are commanded by our God to tell others that our God is the only true God. But, it the people do not wish to hear it, then we are supposed to leave them alone.

I feel uncomfortable promoting any religion because religion is what divides people, faith is what unites them.

Religion is not the answer, it's the problem. It should not be promoted or tolerated.
