It doesn't really matter, of course. He's still going to eat you. But I'm sure he likes to watch humans grasping for any kind of hope just before he sucks the life out of them.

I mean, God created man based on how he looked like, right? So does that mean God has the male genital? And if so, what does God use the genital for? Does he need to pee? Does he have sex?

What would you tell God? What are you trusting in to get into heaven?

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. NO ONE comes to God the Father except through Me." There are not many paths to the same God - this is a deception from Satan who wants to destroy you for eternity.

There is only ONE God, and many other gods. Anyone who tells you differently is wrong.

Which will you serve?

About 15min ago by boyfriend just brought me back home after an interesting night at his moms house. He pulled out some torrote cards and we got to talking about them and I metioned the ouiga board. He said they had one and so his mom got it out. They played with it and it seemed real but it didn't. Any ways, I asked it if me and my boyfriend were going to stay together and it said no. After while, his mom's dead husband came and told him to find a girl that loves you. Now, I never touched the thing, but he did and believes that what was happening was real. So if this thing is real and he thinks it's real, should we stay together since our furture has been told for us.

Has anyone seen this documentary? I think it ran on the Discovery Times Channels as well. It's about homeschooled Christian kids who go to Patrick Henry College in VA, a school with ties to the Republican Party. Classes teach that Christianity is the only option for American government and creationism is taught in biology class. It's certainly no 'Jesus Camp' but it's still interesting.

Is this what is considered, more or less, a 'typical' Christian these days or are these people over the top? I know people like this are being bashed constantly, especially on Y!Answers, but is this more commonplace than I realized? They are very conservative Republican Christians and I can honestly say that I do not actually know anyone like this. Does anyone live in an area where the majority of people are like this? Are these the people I'm 'fighting' with on Y!Answers?? I'm beginning to think I'm living under a rock in NYC.

Last week an elderly Palestinian grandmother, the eldest kamikaze in the Gaza Strip, blew herself up in the name of Allah, leaving behind more than 40 grandchildren.

No doubt, other aging Palestinian grandmothers will soon follow suit.

Earlier, a stuffed animal full of explosives was discovered in a Nablus terrorist laboratory.

The shocking thing was that in neither case was there any reaction--no comment; no feeling of revolt was expressed by the Palestinian side; only adulation.

Modern radical fundamentalists use "qatalu fi sabil Allah" (fight in the way of Allah) and the other doctrines of self-defense to justify the violence they employ to accomplish their objectives. They also try to put into practice the Qur'anic passage: "Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever you find them and take them (captive), and besiege them and prepare for them each ambush." (IX, 5).

Can one make serious peace with these people?

Elijah was a prophet of God. But there were many prophets of Baal, another god. So, one day he called them together and said to them, "Call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.”

So they did. While the prophets of Baal called out for a long time for their god to send fire down, nothing happened.

Then Elijah put water on his bull and called to the Lord, who sent fire down and burnt the bull.

Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except though me". What do you say to that?

We as humans need to believe in something. When we are aware that we cannot trust our lovers and friends because they are just average humans that can change and have their own ego, then in what or whom we should believe?
it is wise to believe in wise books made by respected people of religion, like Bible, Lotus Sutra or Kuran, depending on which faith we belong; also is good to believe in books from other wise persons in different fields. In such way, we believe in something relatively unchangeable because books are already written and cannot change. Also we should believe in our closest family because they will not abandon us. It is also good to trust people who are not alive because they cannot dissapoint us. As long as we believe in living person that we worship as God or leader or teacher, we are always afraid that such person can abandon us.

I ask because I've been home all weekend sick, and caught an episode of "Hogan Knows Best" (and no, I don't get my religious education from reality tv). Anyway, they were having a barbeque for the neighborhood and they had a few Rabbi's over and Brooke (Hulk's daughter) went to shake one of the Rabbi's hand to introduce herself and he said something along the lines of "Rabbi's don't touch any other women but their wife". Then she went to introduce herself to another Rabbi in the crowd and said "hi" and said something like "I heard you don't shake hands with women" and that Rabbi confirmed it too.
I was kind of surprised. Is this only something that Rabbi's do or are all Jewish men not allowed to touch any other women than their wives? Thank you for your answers!
Ps. Scripture or any other references are welcome (just please no posting of websites).

one astronaut went to the moon looking for god, was disappointed because he did not find him, another astronaut went to the moon looking for god and saw him everywhere.

do you think this is an accurate portrayal of perceptions for both athiests and christians? does a negative or positive outlook inhibit/propel our intellectual reasonings to believe or not believe in god? an athiest looks out his front door and sees no reason to believe in god, and a christian looks out his front door, sees the same thing, and has every reason to believe in god. so in other words, does it take the same amount of faith to disbelieve in god as it does to believe in god?
