To begin with, the proper name is LDS from the name of the church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Please try to understand that these young men and women are only doing what they believe to be right.
However, if they do continuiously bother you, you can use one of our own beliefs to get them to back off:
"We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may."
This is the 11th Article of Faith of our 13 Articles of Faith. I respect your right to not believe. I just wish these young men and women would respect it as well. Please do not judge our faith on these few you have had bad experiences with. Below is the link to the entire list of our Articles of Faith. This tells you exactly what we believe.

I have regularly invited them in, treated them to a drink and perhaps a few cookies, given them a lecture on how the Book of Genesis indicates the unworthiness of Jehovah and the potential of human consciousness, then sent them out the door with their own copies of the Satanic Bible.
Fortunately, I do well enough that I can afford to keep a few lying around the house for any Jehovah's Witness, Mormon, amway representative, magazine subscription salesperson, or politician who knocks at the door. You might consider designing a "de-evangelization" pamphlet if you can't afford several copies of "Letter to a Christian Nation" or "the God Delusion". It's worth the laugh.
Just be nice to the girl scouts.
They bring us cookies.

Mormon's belong to a cult and are not Christian in belief. They claim they are but it's a lie. Mormons believe anyone can be the same as Jesus and have their own world to rule if they are good enough. I hope someday you can find God and become a Christian, but if you do, stay away from cults. God Bless

Have your pastor answer the door next time and let him deal with them. Really, no kidding. He should be able to handle them without a hitch.
