God and I read a lot of books together. You see, reading is, like, my favorite thing, so I simply ask my Lord to join me. He especially likes the Sunday funnies.

It is true that you can take God with you into all your daily circumstances, as long as no sin is involved (hear that, unbelievers). You simply make it a point to invite Him into your activities, and have an awareness of His Presence while you are doing whatever it is. It's called practicing the Presence of God, and it's incredibly rewarding.

God bless you in your search for a deeper relationship with Him.

I don't think you can change the mundane things themselves but you can change the consciousness that you do things in. I mean, with garbage you could try not to make too much of it, don't waste the treasures of mother earth. Don't eat more than you need to eat. Also you should keep a clean home ' cleanliness is next to godliness'. You can sing Gods praise / chant His names while you take the garbage out. even the trees and ants and flies benefit from hearing His holy names.

i have never thought about it with things like garbage mind you , but i am sure you can find reason in it
what about cleanliness is next to Godliness ?
what i do though is with anything i do , to make it less mundane ... is to do it all to music ... get lost in the music
then it can be like meditating while cleaning
its quite uplifting

I feel like forcing meaning into something like this is what brought about people's need for religion in the first place. Whether God exists or not, it seems to me that far too many people are religious to implant meaning into their lives.

Scream "God wills it" while you do stuff around the house.

Well, when I've finished my mundane tasks I usually say "Thank God that's finished."

How's that? :)
