Of course not. Just as those who call for a "Crusade" are not traitors.

Would you say that the Salvation Army who fight (have a "Jihad") against poverty in their "war of want" are traitors?

We need to re-educate the brainwashed about what Jihad means. Jihad means to fight for, to strive for or to struggle for good against evil. It does not mean war (the ultimate form) in a combat situation where the work "Kital" would be more appropriate.

Me writing this can be described as "jihad". This just make me a concerned citizen.

If want to look for traitors, then try TB & Co who started an illegal war and, if we are going to honour our obligation to the Geneva convention, should be arrested on sight for known violations.

Jihad is a personal struggle. Those who call for Jihad against others are misquoting the prophet and bringing Islam into disrepute. The punishment for apostacy is death.

Forget about treason, let's have some Sharia Courts to get rid of these idiots.

im in no way a racist, facist or judge people on their religious beliefs but if you live in a country and are crying out for war on that country from another state then go and live in the state where they are baying for blood and not stir up hatred in this one. I'd bet the people that are calling for this "jihad" are all tucked up nicely in a big house with central heating driving nice cars and dont know of the poverty and conditions that other countries have to endure. So the sooner they shut up or ship out the better for us all !!!! And Dee blame no one but yourself for being narrow mind and self richeous !! Statements like that stir up racial hate.

No, the right to free speech and being allowed to express yourself is important, you do do not have to agree to the views expressed, but to deny someone else such freedom, also denies yourself the same right. How would you feel if someone else told you that your views were wrong. Although I am aware that there are some people who would misuse such freedom, the right to say what you believe in, is more important than the views expressed. Try understanding the real reasoning behind what is expressed, and don't think that others will all blindly agree.

You have to understand what Jihad actually is...

God’s Messenger (peace be upon him) used to say the following words to his troops before sending them to war: “Go forward in the name of God. Do not kill an elderly person, nor a child, nor a woman, and do not exceed the bounds.” [Muwatta’]

From all this, it is easy to see Islam’s position on terrorism. Terrorism is a form of warfare whereby innocent people are specifically targeted to instill fear in a population. Therefore, Islam’s view on terrorism comes from the Islamic position on warfare. It is clear from what preceded that even during war, when the Muslims are fighting an aggressive enemy, they are never allowed to target civilians. This is strictly prohibited by Islamic Law. The killing of innocents is murder, even during times of war. The one who intentionally kills these innocent people is a murderer who deserves the punishment for murder. Terrorism is categorically prohibited in Islam.

There is no such thing as a “holy war” in Islam. Muslims are not allowed to force their religion on anyone. The word jihad means “struggle”. This struggle can be of a military nature. When it is, the differences between a jihad and a normal war become clear. Jihad can never be fought for worldly gain, for conquest, or even for revenge.

War must only be fought to protect the lives, property, and freedoms of people. Muslims must fight to protect the freedom of people to worship God when that freedom is forcibly attacked. They are never allowed to attack innocent people, even when they are themselves attacked. Any people that go against this established principle of Islamic Law are fighting against Islam and everything that it stands for. It is ludicrous for them to call this fighting a jihad, a word that means striving in the cause of Islam. They are in fact murderers in the light of Islamic Law and should be treated as such.

EDIT: And by the way , to "aunty m"..go back to where they came from? A lot of them are actually originally from here...so this is their country anyway. There's no need to be racist.

Pro-jihad Muslims should be dealt with by the moderate ones, the ones that claim that they are against killing non-Muslims just because the Koran states so. Regrettably, when acts of violence take place, the moderate Muslims keep their mouth shut instead of coming out and condemning the killings.

Yes, they should be arrested and charged with sedition, I don't know why they aren't presently, probably because this Gov't seems dead set on appeasing Muslim's whatever the cost.
I'm not sure what criteria is used to determine covert sedition from overt sedition, maybe it's this blurring that provides a legal loophole enabling these people to escape arrest.
