Not trying to be morbid or anything but I knew this veitnam vet once that told me one of the first things out of any Athiest soldier when injured or dying was prayer to God and/or Jesus. Why do you think that is? Do you think they in fact believed in God but lived a life of denial? Do you think the vet exaggerated? Did these soldiers see Jesus just before death? Curious to know what people think.

We have millions of starving kids in this world and your god does nothing!
What kind of merciful god lets his children suffer needlessly.
What kind of insensitive people are you Christians that you defend a god that lets kids suffer.
You christians need to have your heads examined for brain activity.

Isn't the original belief in a higher power have to do with fear of the unknown (like the cave next rock) and the fear of death with nothing to follow?

has a way of telling you how God took him to another level, then try's to bring you down, by referencing, that "you need to", "you got to be", always referencing "you", as if I am not doing these things. I find it actually draining, and almost in some weird way, it's him tooting his own horn, because he is trying to build himself up? any help here?

I am a pround christian(PCA presbyterian) youth and feel a strong need for reform in the churches. Many things are going on that should not be, and many christian and non-christians will suffer the consequences of mislead churches. I would like to hear some advice on how to better my faith, and the faith of those around me. PEACE and may GOD bless, keep, and guide all.

Its so maddening.

Lets recap: The earth is round (elpitical). The sun, and not the earth, is the center of our solar system. All living species are a product of evolution. The moon is not made of cheese.

By the way, just because lunacy wasnt better classified a thosand years ago, doesnt mean that lunatics who claimed to be "prophets" didnt exist. We have lunatics today, in every asylum, who claim to be prophets or Napolean, we just know the difference today, we understand it.

Do you believe in a religion made up by a violent lunatic prophet? Use this answer area to explain the sensible nature of your lunatic prophet and why we should also believe in you lunatic prophet.

By the way, if you ever want to be an educated person, you can...just go to this website: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/

My own mother had a vision when my mother in law died. She saw her and said she looked angry. She just stared at her then faded into whiteness...then shortly after my mom saw her again and she was looking at a drawer or box...then the phone rang and it was me calling to tell her what had happened.

Any idea's?

HEAVEN AND HELL DOES NOT EXPLAIN MOST OF WHAT IS READ IN THE BIBLE

What was a perfect heavens and earth [ for its part of earth ], that let man live a near 1000 years even after sin? As John 3:16 to have eternal life, perfect must be again.

2Pet.3:13; Rev.21:1-5; 3:12 [ New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God ].

Isa.45:18 [ earth made to be inhabited ]; Isa.65:17; 66:1,22,23 [ also Matt.19:28 Eze.37:12-14 The tribes are returned to their own land ];

I ONLY KNOW WHAT I THINK ABOUT THESE PROMISES EARTH IS WONDERFUL TO ME.

At the Last Supper, Jesus says, this IS my body and blood. Jesus does not say, "this is a symbol of my body and blood."

The Greek phrase is "Touto estin to soma mou." This phraseology means "this is actually" or "this is really" my body and blood.

1 Cor. 11:24 - the same translation is used by Paul - "touto mou estin to soma." The statement is "this is really" my body and blood. Nowhere in Scripture does God ever declare something without making it so.

Aramaic, the language that Jesus spoke, had over 30 words for "represent," but Jesus did not use any of them. He used the Aramaic word for "estin" which means "is

So my question is, with these facts alone, why don't you believe in the True Presence?

The book says that we are already healed. Jesus paid for our healing at the cross. By His stripes we are healed. So my question is why don't people believe it and receive their healing and tell sickness to get out of their body? Why do they believe doctors and choose not to believe God? If you won money, you would receive it, so why not receive your healing and be made whole?

Ok, I am an eighteen year old, a sophomore and studying mechanical engineer. Recently I have many questions and I am nhot certain what to do with my life. I do not even know if I want to be an engineer anymore and even if I will become and engineer then what. I wonder whar is going to happen once I start a carrer. I see many grownups around me with kids, family and property and is as if I want to hurry to become a real adult. How will I become like them, finantially secure, responsable, reliable and organized witch are traits I barely posses. Have you even be in this situation and how did you (or still deal) with this?
