Hmmm... maybe for the same reason there's no copy of the handwriting or signature of anybody who ever actually knew or saw Jesus?

Let's take the case of Ashlee Simpson. She's gotten around allot more than Jesus Christ, yet how many autographs of her's have you seen?

Lets be real, the only documents that we have from that time we're literally BURIED and hidden away. Why? Because the only way to preserve them was to keep them out of men's hands, with all their oils, unrolling of the pages, etc. Plus the dry, arid conditions helped preserve the documents. You try preserving something for 2,000 years and see how it turns out.

Plus, Christ spoke at least 2 languages, what about you? He was reading to the Temple Scholars at 12 as an equal, so no, I don't think he was illiterate.

God created the whole universe, do you really think his son couldn't read or write, God and Jesus are the same person and if you know anything about the Bible, Who wrote the Ten Commandments, ( with his finger, of all things) on stone tablets (twice) He didn't need a pencil, Has anyone seen the actual writing of the Apposel Paul, he wrote 13 books in the Bible,

why would Jesus need to read and write when He was the Word

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Jesus was literate He taught from the scrolls in the Temple. He is recorded to have written in the sand. That He did not sign anything is probably a good thing, because someone, somewhere, would frame it and worship it instead of Him (or put it on E-Bay to make a buck).

Yes, most people were illiterate – like many conservative Christians today.

ANTI-CHRI... –

There were no Christians where Jesus was alive. If there had already been Christianity, there would have been no need for another Christ.

No, Jesus (pbuh) was not illiterate. I do not know why he didn't write his teachings himself. Maybe because writing materials were too expensive for a poor travelling teacher?

jesus was a carpenter, not a scribe. but as much as the pharises hated him, im sure they had to show him scripture as tried to prove him wrong. the real question is, did jesus have reason to read and write? in those days he probably didn't go to school, he was probably an apprentice to his earthly father untli he began his ministry.
