HEAVEN AND HELL DOES NOT EXPLAIN MOST OF WHAT IS READ IN THE BIBLE

What was a perfect heavens and earth [ for its part of earth ], that let man live a near 1000 years even after sin? As John 3:16 to have eternal life, perfect must be again.

2Pet.3:13; Rev.21:1-5; 3:12 [ New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God ].

Isa.45:18 [ earth made to be inhabited ]; Isa.65:17; 66:1,22,23 [ also Matt.19:28 Eze.37:12-14 The tribes are returned to their own land ];

I ONLY KNOW WHAT I THINK ABOUT THESE PROMISES EARTH IS WONDERFUL TO ME.

Thanks for all the thoughtful answers, but but Gen.6:13 says,"I will destroy them with the earth." This and the fact that it had never rained before the flood says that whatever earth was there was destroyed on behalf of saving man.
That earth [ had maybe a shield around it that involved the heavens ]; All that it was it must be made the same again.

Wow someone else who believes like I do. I always think of the new creation as cleansed places. If the wicked were gone wouldn't the earth be new? In Rev.12:7 Micheal and his angels battled with Satan and his angels and they were thrown out of heaven. Walla new heaven! cleansed of those wicked spirit persons. Then they show me 2 Peter 3:5 For according to their wish this fact escapes their notice that their was heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water.
The world of that time was deludged with water. Not writing the whole thing just the guist of it. It goes on to say the earth was destroyed with water. Well, it wasn't destroyed just the wicked people were. Also saying the heavens will pass away.
Why would the heavens where God lives be destroyed?
Doesn't make any sense. He has already cleansed it from the wicked angels or demons. Matthew 24:21,22 Shows that there will be survivors. Psalms 37:10,11 says the earth will be cleansed of all wickedness and then be here forever Ps 37:29

The answer is in the first chapter of Genesis 1:28: "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

Also, the Bible says the Earth is to be "filled" with Perfect, Peaceful men, (Ps. 72:7) "In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth."

Matthew 6:10 "Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

Also, the Bible says the Earth will never be destroyed or depopulated,

(Ecclesiatstes 1:4) "One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh; but the earth abideth for ever."

So, the "New Earth" will be the Earth without Satan, or the Earth created anew, from the filth of man and angelic sin. The New Jerusalem will be the Heavenly Government that Christ Jesus will rule from over all mankind, while they reside on the perfect earth. This is spoken of in Revelation, where Satan is bound for 1,000 years and cast into the Bottomless Pit. For 1,000 years mankind will be led back to perfection as Adam and Eve were when they and Christ were tested. Once everyone is perfect and the 1,000 years are over, Christ will be let out for the LAST TIME to lead PERFECT MANKIND astray. This will weed out those that will truly serve God in a perfect and non-perfect state. God will allow it a short time, then destroying Satan, his minions and those who fell to him, leaving only the perfect mankind left. Those who have proven their loyalty to God thru Christ Jesus forever, once and for all times. They have shown that even in the worst of times, their belief in God will never waiver. They will live forever on the New Earth, studying, learning and doing whatever tasks God sets out for them, for Eternity.

Then the Lion will lay with the little boy and the snake with them : )

There has to be a new if the old things are going to be passed away. Can you imagine living on this earth in a modern day hell, and then have Christ come back for us and we stay here? Oh what a shame. He goes to prepare a place for us, and when he comes again, he will receive us unto himself. If we were going to enjoy a heaven on this earth, why would he have to go and prepare a place for us? He gives us something to look forward to in the new heaven and the new earth.

A new heaven and new earth are similar to being born again. It's not literal, it's more perceptual. Your perspective is so shifted, and transformed. Your understanding of the nature of things and your concepts of yourself and all that is are redeemed. The heaven and earth shattering revelations leave you with a new understanding of heaven and earth. This is what the bible was referring to.-------------A small note; when I experienced The Revelation of the Christ, this event was referred to as the Eighth Perspective, as it will happen on the eighth day of the week.---------The earth can never be the same. That is the nature of Transformation.--------------Many events are subjective and multifaceted, and can indeed be beyond words, the only way to describe those types of intense religious experiences is indirectly.

this will be the last battle which will be sin, and sin will be no an it will be that plague that adam and eve will come alive, since the devil is already at this point in the lake in fire, when this happen there will be no more evil on the earth, but the one that believed in christ as lord and savior will resign forever with no evil no more suffering. there will be a new heaven and new earth only for those that followed christ the wicked will be cast into the lake of fire this is hard for me and those that have unsaved people knowing that they have unsaved people is horrible.

The only serious discussion I have ever heard about what the bible means by a new heaven and a new earth was in the course in miracles. It covers this and a lot of other things in great detail.
