Jesus spoke of wars and rumors of war, famines, earthquakes in diverse places, pestilences. He also stated that those who believe in Him will be delivered up and killed for His namesake. This is the beginning of sorrows.

I think he should be given a chance to land the plane before being raptured away. We can't have airplanes up in the air without anybody behind the proverbial steering wheel, after all. The same goes for motorists - there should be like a ten minute 'rapture warning', so they have ample time to pull their cars over to the side of the road. Otherwise, it has all the makings of a serious traffic hazard.

when I was growing up there was a wonderful man who ran the local drug store, who loved children and was considered as kind of an adopted uncle to all the kids in my town. He was an elder in the church and a wonderful Christian man, but when he got older he developed brain tumors. He was slowly and painfully dying, and his family was suffering. Nobody can even be certain if he was in his right mind the night he quietly left his house, walked out into the river and drowned himself. His death was considered by all to be a suicide.

And most people seem to think that it is when Jesus comes back. That isn't true, the rapture is when christians are saved from the coming badness. The great multitude in revelation. I think it is after the 5 or 6th seal. right?

One of my friends proposed this question to a lady who was preaching her about christianity:(these were her words) great you are a christian! Good for you now would you stop trying to convince me to change my belief into christianity. I love my god and believe in him and nothing can change that. How would you feel if I try preaching you about "_______" and tell you to convert into it. Why can't people stop imposing their religion onto others. And yeah stop telling me that I will go to hell because I don't believe in Jesus. Yeah right so you're telling me that those 2 billion whatever people will go to hell too just cuz they don't believe in your god. Yeah well good for me because there will be a long line in hell. ............................... This made me think.... true.... I know thousands of people who do this and it makes me furious... why can't they keep their religion to themselves and stop preaching to world what they should or shouldn't believe in!

Then why do we have dietary laws in religion? Would a God of all the universe really be that concerned about our food choices?

The reason I ask is simple. Beliefs based on faith (especially reilgions) are inherently self binding. With one exception, I see no problem with the majority of the teachings of all religions. They attempt to have humanity better themselves and their situation by altering the believer's behavior. This aids in maintaining societial standards keeping certain natural animalistic human behaviors under control. The exception is that almost all religions teach solidarity vs. unity and are therby flawed by piting those that believe against those that don't. Some people absolutely need to believe in something (or some diety) to give their life meaning and purpose. Without that they wouldn't be able to cope their mediocre and simple life. The segregation of religions amounts to the belief that all opposing views are absolutely incorrect which leads people away from the teachings of their respective religions. People then become enslaved to the absolution of their religion. Very sad.

they are also wear a gladiator costume with shield in hand when reading the responses.

This is 1 response to my last question. Obviously, this answer has nothing to do with my question. I'm just curious as to why people just don't answer the question. I'm not angry just curious. does every question warrant such emotional, unrelated responses. I don't usually defend myself when answering questions, because there's nothing to defend for me.

Is this person trippin or what:

If there is no God, then everything and anything is permissible (who would say that anything is wrong? Subjective law? My law is better than your law).
Some people have plenty of will...and plenty of won't, like in bowing the knee to God!

It is a time for soul-searching and fervent prayers. The Rupture is soon; what it is I don't know, but I've been told it's soon.
