Is it true that if we build a tree fort to god that he will break the fort, probably kill us with the wood, and if not, make us all speak different languages. Is this true?

Other parts of the world have thier own religions tied to thier own cultures. Christianity is a white european religion that spun off Judaism. Don't you think that the spread of Christianity is destroying other cultures and religions while molding the world to be more like fast food fat america and weenie europe?

Does asking for foregiveness work like Double Jeopardy...being that you can't be foregiven for the same sin twice. I mean if you keep sinning and asking for foregiveness you can't keep being foregiven right? for example If I cheated on my husband(im not married) and asked for foregivenss then im clear...but if I do it again then I can't be forgiven? If thats true then alot of People who think they are going to heaven really probably arent right?

Who is creating the greater sin? The PETA member who supports killing unborn children while saving animals or the fisherman who makes a fish suffer from a hook in its mouth?

I was having a conversation with a co-worker and this topic came up. So is it true that mormons think that native americans were originally white, and then for some reason god punished them and turn them "red"? If it's true that they believe this, can you also post a source of information?

Jesus meditated and prayed in the wilderness and fought off Satan. Buddha meditated and faught off Mara (Buddhist version of satan). Except in Christianity, Satan is a separate being and in Buddhism, Mara is a psychological enemy that represents our own ignorance and delusions. Which foe is more realistic?

Everytime he did something wrong. Drugs, Alcohol, abused me, etc, he prayed and prayed for forgiveness. Apparently he got it as he felt fine about the awful things he did as soon as he was "forgiven"..Is that the way it works??? I'm serious, so please explain.

Original sin is said to come from Adam & Eve's fall, if their story is a metaphor as many people suggest then Jesus crucifixion and death to save us from original sin makes little sense unlerss it too is a metaphor.

in micro evolution and not macro evolution without believing that life only existed 6000 years on earth?
if you believe that life has been on earth for about 3 billion years as most scientist agree, then how can you believe in micro evolution and not macro evolution without taking into account that 3 billion years of micro evolution will undoubtedly lead to macro evolution? unless you believe that species have been running in a proverbial evolutionary circle for the pat 3 billion years without change.

The original cult of the mother and child, Semiramis and Tammuz, became later Isis and Osiris, Venus and Adonis, the madonna and child in various cultures down to this day.

Semiramis declared that her son, Tammuz, was in actuality the return or rebirth of her husband, Nimrod. this is where reincarnation was born. And since Tammuz was born on the day corresponding to December 25, this day was highly honored and recognized by Nimrod's supporters. Note, therefore, that this date (December 25) was observed in honor of the birth of Tammuz long before Christianity existed, and that it was not until many centuries later this pagan custom was "Christianized" as being the birthday of Christ (or Christmas day). "It can be stated they worship another Jesus"

Nimrod's followers began to also worship Semiramis. And her son Tammuz was worshipped as well. Semiramis was revered by the people and was viewed by many as a priestess and goddess. She soon became known as "the queen of heaven." Thus began the awful practice of exalting human deities. These false beliefs have led up to the many different forms of idolatry that are still practiced by different people today. Yes, it was through the introduction of these satanic evils and the many sacrilegious practices of ancient Babylon that witchcraft, priestcraft, spiritualism, and other forms of paganism were born.

On the 25th of December, is "The birthday of the unconquerable Sun" (Natalis Solis Invicti). The ancient pagans believed that the sun would die during the winter solstice and then rise again from death as the solstice ended and the days of light began to lengthen, with the sun climbing higher in the sky, regaining its dominance. December 25 was also regarded as the birth date of the Persian/Iranian mystery god Mithras, the Sun of Righteousness, the god of light, the Grand Deliverer. The Sun God Mithras was a popular deity in the Old Roman Empire, whose cult penetrated the Roman world in the first century B.C.

I don't because I found out that the Holy bible does not support this pagen Holiday. It has been a yr since the truth have been revealed to me. The Lord does tell us to remeber his death not his birth.

Jer 10:1 ¶ Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people [are] vain: for [one] cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe
Jer 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
Jer 10:5 They [are] upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also [is it] in them to do good.
Jer 10:8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock [is] a doctrine of vanities

Leo was my cat. He died on Easter of last year. As I've looked about the site, I see that many people believe that animals don't go to heaven. I found this in Ecclesiastes 3.19-20--

'Like animals we breathe and die, and we are no better off than they are. It just doesn't make sense. All living creatures go to the same place. We are made from the earth, and we return to the earth.'

What is your interpretation? I am getting from it that when we die, we are forgiven and go to heaven. And all other living creatures (Meaning not plants because you wouldn't consider them a 'creature') go to heaven too. I hope that Leo went to heaven because a minute ago when I was reading the other ppls replies to topics kind of like mine, I started to cry. Leo has to have gone to heaven right? I mean, cats don't know right and wrong, therefore they cannot sin right? Adam and Eve ate from the tree in Eden that taught them the difference between right and wrong, but animals didn't. No Jokes! Plz.
